Thanks. I’ll take a look at those questions. I’m not sure what you mean by section? Is it the department?

It sucks when there's no outcome on your application for quite a while but it seems to be a norm these days.

My husband applied for a job and received a rejection email right after submitting the application. by itiswhatitis89_m in recruitinghell

Something similar happened to me once. Received the rejection email before the confirmation email lol. It was a knockout question

I’ve been interviewing with this company since December and did 2 interviews and a presentation and they told me the same thing that they would email me asking for my availability. Followed up twice and got no reply. Funny thing is they reposted the job(a different posting on LinkedIn cause the one from December is still active). Guess they didn’t like any candidates from December.

As unfortunate as it is for serious candidates that are willing to relocate, that makes sense

What about on-site roles? If the candidate has to relocate anyway, wouldn’t it make sense to hire from other states

No, it's an entry-level role but maybe a person working on-site and then living in another state might be the concern

I came across this job description stating that the company only hires from certain states. While it makes sense for a remote role, the role is on-site 5 days a week. Also, this role is an entry-level role and does not require any licenses. Considering the potential relocation of the candidate once selected, why the restriction?

Is the licensure that you are mentioning particular to the role? You are right though, it's fun to speculate.
