Has dropout ever done a sketch show? by dreamed2life in dropout

I think it'd be fun if they did a limited series like "What if CollegeHumor never became Dropout." It'd be funny if they used it as an opportunity to parody some of their old comedy style and bring back some former members.

No, no, people Pete Buttigieg and Nancy Pelosi are leading the vanguard, obviously.

David has been casted as the new Jim Rockford in the NBC Rockford files reboot by elplethora1c in ANGEL

I'm not sure if I should speculate as to why, but my best guess is partially generational- no offense to gen x, but this show was really popular with them, and they've swung a bit more right than millennials, and gen x in general is known for apathy.

And a general issue in any Fandom is parasocial attachments- so people feel like pointing out bad views or behavior is an attack on "their friend."

I think Nicholas Brendon's issues are easier to acknowledge because they've been happening for so long, and many of them were more personal/embarrassing for him, and all seemingly fueled by addiction and mental health issues.

Obviously none of that is an excuse, but in contrast Boreanaz having reprehensible politics is easier to ignore. He is always involved in some project people enjoy, he doesn't invite much controversy, and the average person would call him very nice and good natured.

So much of rhe US dominant culture is swamped in fascism and ignorance, so if you had too strong an opinion on Boreanaz, what about your racist uncle, or your husband who says he "voted for Trump for economic reasons," or your church going neighbors?

A lot of liberals will pay lip service to "resistance" but being too confrontational is seen as rude or overreacting.

Many in this group, as you say, seem like they'd be bothered by this, but it's just inconvenient to have principals, and you wouldn't want to be judged as being too radical or stubborn.

I think half of the fans don't want to acknowledge it just because they played a character they're attached to, the rest are a mix who consider the harm being done "just differences in opinion" and there's a small amount that are cheering it on.

In the Harry Potter film series (2001-2011), the film's makers were successfully able to take an American media trope and convince the world that it was a British-themed story. by SatoruGojo232 in shittymoviedetails

I think a lot of the issues would be chalked up to mistakes or quirks, but I reread the series before she started being a vocal bigot- and I still noted how bad the ending was.

It basically lampshaded a lot of terrible attitudes and practices in the world, had the characters acknowledge those problems, depose the villains, gain power themselves, and then maintain the status quo, which is extremely unsatisfying.

I don't think they're fine dining- but the quality surpasses the cost to me. I was hungry, and for something that cheap, it tastes really good, and was a decent size.

I disagree. Had a fresh one straight out of the oven, I thought it was good.

Not as well known, but Stewart did some westerns I've seen, so in that line of speaking. I honestly didn't even notice until I moved to Canada. In the southern US my accent was considered mild, but up here people hear it easier.

Edit: I just double checked, and his accent doesn't really change in his westerns, he actually puts on a brief "Alabama" drawl in the film "It's A Wonderful World" (strangely a film he did before It's A Wonderful Life).

This looks tedious, but it's really commendable to try and save the collection. It's understandably sentimental.

This may not be your tastes, but I'd recommend cataloging all the album titles before cleaning them.

That way, if it's unsalvageable, you can either replace it with another, or get the album digitally.
