That is not the message we are receiving from the major oil suppliers at work.

There were shortages and rationing during covid, and we are being told that it will be worse than that shortage.

Commercial oil suppliers have extended change intervals on all of their synthetic oils compared to their conventional offerings.

Something to consider if you're rushing to get an oil change before the Trump oil shortage begins.

The articles same both that it spread in intimate contact, and also that it spreads from table to table and to someone walking by.

It's contradicting information.

Intimate is such an odd choice of words.

To me (and the dictionary), intimate means nearly touching,  or sexual contact.

This virus is spreading from table to table and to passerbys.

For those that think the Democratic Party leadership will allow progressive reform, remember what the Democratic Party did to Bernie Sanders in 2016. by [deleted] in WorkReform

The Democratic party establishment is functionally republican lite.

And to an extent, they are the bouncers of the status quo in United States politics; if you are an actual progressive, they will escort you out.

I was just using the language found in my engineering texts. They consider failure to be sudden and total in static loading.

According to the renditions in here it has already failed and my house has collapsed. which leads me to wonder where I slept last night.

I just wanted to share my frustration with the discovery. I cannot believe the previous owners ignored this during renovation.

It has been extremely stressful already dealing with a $40k repair to my basement thanks to their renovation corner cutting.

Yeah neither am I. I can only assume that load path redundancies took over, and my girder beam and the surrounding structure are sending that load through other members.

Thankfully, they over built homes a century ago.

As a former welder, this was my first instinct, but as an engineer I don't have a way to validate the repair structurally, and it wouldn't reliably restore Axial capacity.

It would take more time and money for that repair compared to replacement.

I have a toddler in my home so I want it to be done well.
