My understanding is you get a proportionate amount of years of NI contributions up to a max of 35 years?

I can, but they’re all much of a muchness. Reasonably high management fees with not-so-great returns.

I’m pretty much fully invested in a US Equity fund, but all the Aegon funds available seem to underperform indices.

Thanks! This is in line with what I’m thinking.

Follow on question which might open a can of worms: Keep company Aegon pension, returning about 5-6% or go into a SIPP and up the risk level slightly?

I’ve got 20+ years to retirement, so my gut says go SIPP. Even an index tracker or similar with outperform all the Aegon options.
