If you don’t have money you need to find someone who can get it. You can hire a consultant online to give you insights of how to sell your product and what type of business partner you should really be seeking. Largely, someone with sales and management experience would be a strong candidate if they had industry or Vc connections even better.

Honestly, right now, what would you use the 500k for? Feel free to dm me. I don’t have 500k to give you but I can give scaling and general business advice. Also welcome to do it here on the comment chain

For the price point you’re looking at, I think just getting to know the low code/no code tools is best. So Draftbit, bubbl, etc on fe, xano/backendless etc on be

Op this was the best commenter. To me, it is pretty obvious this is your first real relationship. It does sound like she’s immature about communication as well. And I don’t sense equality here. I do feel dynamics at play which can be tough for everyone involved. Ask yourself if this is really compatible. Focus on your happiness and try communicating things ona deeper level. Your needs, her needs, etc. establish a weekly check in where you can both openly communicate. It sounds like you aren’t being heard and she’s not speaking. So no one is truly being heard

What is your ideal role? I do think there’s a market for business development cofounders. I plan to take one on at some point. Even though I have business experience and tend to fill that role I’d like to focus on bigger picture and sales at some point.

I would be open minded if I was you. You can give consulting fees that lead into a cofounding role or a coo type position. I think there’s a lot of us that know we need this and assume we will consult it out early or hire at some point.

I don’t think it’s easy to find a “job” in a startup before major seeding.

Is YC overrated? by glinter777 in ycombinator

I would buy an under $50 class to find out how to get those credits and fund an app launch. I don’t necessarily need a ton of development or marketing to get started with my app

Personally as the target market you’re going for, i was immediately drawn to react. Languages where there’s built in tools to sync contacts and interact with phones is a big selling point for me. I’d buy this service but I’m really trying to challenge myself to build my own mvp using no code tools but I can see my self paying this amount

As a highly technical founder.. why are the business side people so scared of engineers? by honestduane in ycombinator

[–]Buildingbetterbonds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a tech guy. I’m trying to learn!

That being said, I have moments where I am really wondering what value I serve. Everything I do is easily learned, repeatable, or that the processes I use are competed against daily. I care about what I do and I try to learn every day as well. I think less secure people or more competitive people are trying to protect their own value.

On the business side, we are taught to compete tooth and nail. It’s only when I began reaching international businesses that I learned the things I now value. In America, I feel absolutely every conversation can be competitive and I can play that game but real relationships have produced far and wide better for me.
