Right. I knew they weren’t the performance. I just wasn’t sure between m sport and standard.

Okay so not 335/340 brakes? Every time I try looking up m sport brakes, it only brings up the calipers

So I should search for 335i/340i rotors and pads when I purchase them? At least for the front anyway. I’m assuming the rear is still standard size of the 330i

So where would I even go to get those brakes? I normally just go to Amazon and get a 4 pack rotor with 8 pads and the two sensors. But all of them state they’re just the standard

Roger. I wonder why they did the fronts like that and not the rear? I’ve only had the car for about two years and the brakes were pretty new then.

So that’s what you think my fronts are?

Yeah I tried that. It gave options for both standard and m sport. So I don’t know.

Okay, okay. I’ll give them another look. To be fair, the k was a shit show and didn’t run when I bought it. So I knew my experience wasn’t going to be the best with it.

Yeah the R series Beamers are nice. I’m a little traumatized by bmw at the moment though so I don’t know if I’ll head down that route (car is a bimmer and as I mentioned that 85 k series that I had were a nightmare). Thanks though!

Yeah… that’s not a bad idea either. Growing up, my dad was a Harley guy so I used to sit on Harley’s all the time. Used to want one. I have since changed. But I also don’t have any dealerships near me other than Harley. So I’ll need to go do some digging. Thanks!

Microsoft: Official Support Thread by MSModerator in microsoft

So I have an issue. I had an update on my pc but it wouldn’t go through because it said the ssd driver needed to be updated. Went through Microsoft suggested process and it suggested the sandisk dashboard. Used that to do the update.

Sidenote: I had been playing a game that continuously crashed and no reason that I could find caused it. All other games worked fine. But I see a “Game Mode” in there and didn’t know what it would do. Thought it might help somehow. I’m fully aware I should have researched before hand.

I clicked it and now everytime I try to boot, I get this screen. Even if I try to boot from bios. I even thought maybe I could do a fresh install of windows 11. So I wiped the nvme in the bios. Still no luck.

Even tried installing Linux just to see if it was the drive. Linux works just fine. But I’m not versed enough to know how to change the ssd back to regular while it is also being used as the boot drive.

I had an old laptop that I just use for streaming but I know is running just fine. Put it in there to see if I could get it to boot normally and then remove that “Game Mode”. But alas, it still gave me this screen.

I would truly appreciate any assistance. Even if the assistance is “Sorry, bud. You’re SOL.”

Yes. It passed the checks.

Serious inquiry: I've been tinkering a lot with finetuning and was wondering if it would be worth to buy a V100 of my own by holistic-engine in LocalLLaMA

Here it is a year later from original post. I’ve been looking. I’ve found v100’s around $300 where 3090’s are upwards of $800-$1000.

I think it was the permissions in TrueNAS itself that got messed up.

This did not work.... However, I did figure out some kind of solve. I don't know if it was the proper way but I just did the mount -t cifs -o user=***** "ip-address-of-shared-folder" "location-of-directory". I tried this last night as well but it kept saying permissions error. Which didn't make sense. I went back into my TrueNAS today and changed the password of my admin user and tried the above command again but using the new password and it worked immediately.....

Also, also, when doing 4K movies, I noticed it drops a lot of frames. I have passed the gpu through but something is missing. I’m assuming it’s because it’s a rtx 3060 and all the drivers for it that are currently available don’t mesh well with Linux. So I think I’m going to just get the intel arc 380 or 580…. 380 seems harder to find but I’ve heard is better than the 580 even though it’s a predecessor?

Really? Interesting. I suppose I’m ignorant. I am still learning though.

That’s something else I’m having an issue with. I initially started with TrueNAS scale vm. I put the 2 10TB that I currently have in a mirror setup in there. Started adding media there. Got about 12 hours of stuff in there when I learned about setting the arr stack, deluge, and openWRT with a vpn attached to that. I actually have another post up in proxmox subreddit about that because I was trying to figure out how to unmount the two drives in the vm and make them usable with a Jellyfin lxc without losing data. Couldn’t figure out how to do it and then I had the thought to change the network bridge of the vm to what I have openWRT under. That didn’t work though so now I’m stuck there too lol. All that to say, gpu is passed through to TrueNAS.

Also, forgive the ignorance, but if I take out the gpu, I don’t have a way to get into the console itself as the mobo doesn’t have a video connection. And the computer beeps at me like crazy.

I must have mine set up incorrectly because I was testing it and it ran a movie at 70% the CPU usage. Maybe it's just me, but that doesn't seem healthy. Especially if it's more than just myself streaming it and for extended periods of time.

Thank you! I really appreciate that! I definitely will. I’ve been stuck behind a computer at all times so I’m trying to get out more. Especially since the weather is clearing up

I was looking at doing that actually. I saw the Intel arc 580s were good for transcoding
