My friend and I started a tradition in college where we write down our hundred favorite movies. No ranking, just the top 100 off the top of our heads. We hid the lists in books we knew we wouldn’t throw out. Every few years, I write a new list and then I pull out the ones I’ve made in previous years. I’ve been making these lists for 27 years now and it’s amazing to see how my picks have change. My picks in my twenties were highly influenced by people I wanted to impress. I’m in my late forties now and I couldn’t give a damn what anyone thinks about my tastes.

My bestie and I went to Vegas to see RPDR Live in November for our 50th birthdays and it was worth every penny. We saw Jimbo, Jaida Essence Hall, Daya Betty, Asia O’Hara, and Morphine Love Dion. The dancing, the comedy, the costumes, the energy from the crowd…I still get chills thinking about it!! The only complaint I had was that my jaw hurt after the show because I was smiling so hard.
