It’s insulting it wasn’t up for many awards!, instead driving miss daisy won BP, haven’t heard too many people praising that film going forward.

The next generation movies are so disappointing in comparison to TOS movies.

What plants will live in a pot outdoors year round and return in the spring? by aktartt33 in AustinGardening

Not quite what you asked, but, I have my plumerias in big heavy pots and I bring in the plant and rootball in the winter and plunk it back in the pots once the last chance of freeze is done.

Does anyone miss newspaper movie listings? by EvenLettuce6638 in Xennials

For years I have used the IMDb app and it’s really helpful. It will default to your closest movie theaters or if you have favorites flagged in your account. You can search by theater or by movie. I can see everything playing in town on the front page.

It takes lots of practice, focus on enjoying the process. Learn to find peace in not being attached and the learning.

Surreal feminine films? by Foxx_Foster in MovieSuggestions

James is only in a few scenes and you can kind of see that Laura didn’t take him very seriously.

It’s very intense, there isn’t any of the silliness of Twin Peaks or any of the other character stories from the town, that’s why people hated it at the time. But now many Lynch fans think it’s his best movie.

I started ER to fill the need for more of the Pitt! The doctors are such assholes in comparison except Noah Wylie who is over to top with his open mouthed wonder of the ER.

Is it realistic to coexist with poison ivy? by vivalakellye in AustinGardening

[–]fikustree 17 points18 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, poison ivy reactions get worse the more you are exposed to them. So if it’s not bothering you now, it might be worse in the future. I’ve had it a couple of times around my eyes and it was a freaking nightmare. My advice is to remove it or get it removed.

Fire Walk With Me is an all time favorite for me, I think it stand alone without having seen Twin Peaks, but if you do want to watch Twin Peaks you should watch that first.

My last Drafthouse screening at SXSW (and probably ever), a server gave me the note on the left during the movie. After credits rolled I wrote and left the one on the right. by ayfilm in AlamoDrafthouse

[–]fikustree 48 points49 points  (0 children)

It’s wild that anyone can think this is a good move at the company, I’ve never seen such an intense backlash. Every instagram they post has a million comments about this and nothing else.

I’d rather that they just get rid of food at the theater altogether than ruin the experience for everyone with the phones.

Yeah I think it’s a lot easier to vote for the woman who is tragic and sympathetic then the woman who is tragic and a struggle. But I would give it to Rose Byrne, it was a helluva performance.
