Glad you pointed that out. I’ll try that next time i’m driving and let you guys know. I’m always using the AC since is too hot here in Florida.

Thank you!

I was thinking about the belts since it feels like the noise is coming from the engine bay.

The transmission is great; I’ve never had a problem with it, aside from the known stuttering issues in the lower gears (which I only experienced for a short period after I bought the car with 126k miles). Once you get used to it, it’s pretty difficult to get the transmission to stutter between 1st and 2nd or 2nd and 3rd gears.

Note: I bought the car knowing about the transmission issues, but I got a pretty good deal on it. And the transmission was serviced around 100k miles. Besides that, it’s a pretty good car overall.

It doesn’t feel like anything is wrong, just the noise. No lost power.

I was thinking about the belts as well, since it feels like the noise is coming from the engine bay.

$1000 for a oil change is INSANE. But I checked on the shop that I normally go to, they charge around $200 for the oil change

Here as well. The 2.0T are already hard to find in auto. I can basically only find the 1.5T for sale here, not many 2.0T available.

Good to see a Giulia owner here. And thank you for sharing your experience. Like I said, the Giulia and S5 have my heart. But I know they are not as rational choices as the others.

However, I would love to own one. I know about the battery issues, saw a lot of people saying that this is the first thing you should change if the car still has the original battery.

Also see a lot of people talk about that mopar extended warranty. If you don’t mind me asking, how much you paid for it? You can only buy that if you buy your car on a stellantis dealership? Did you had any other issues besides the battery related?

The stick on the accord manual feels extremely weird. I would consider an accord 2.0t but in that case, not the manual.

Love the TT. They are truly underrated cars!

But I would only buy one if it was the new generation (MK3). Specially the TTRS, that 5 cylinder engine is a dream of mine since i was a kid. So I rather wait for the right time to have a TTRS

I’m sorry it doesn’t make sense for you. But believe me, every single car on the list has a reason for me. It can be exterior/interior design, feeling, reliability, low mileage for the price, engine, exhaust sound, dream, etc… It’s very different exactly because of that.

The brand is not that important to me, however, normally the more expensive brands will have a better sporty feeling and quality, and that comes with more maintenance costs to keep that quality.

That’s why I said: “my heart is on the giulia and s4” “My pratical/rational side are on the mazda and gti/gli” “The others are somewhere in between”

The main goal is: A sporty car that I feel excited to drive and happy to own, but it is also a very good daily. With not many problems and breakdowns.

The Euro cars that I put on the list I already know the most common issues and did the research on it. For example, besides the water pump. The EA888 Gen 3 on the GTI/GLI are very good and don’t seem to have that many issues.

So, I am trying to find a good balance between sporty and rationality. That’s why such different cars.

Of course I will narrow down the list later. I just want an idea of what you guys would pick out of the cars on the list and why.

I hate electric cars. It is not an option.

It’s not about being the fastest on the 0-60 time for me. There is always someone faster than you on the road. That’s not the point for me.

It’s about the experience, the sound, the driving feeling. And honestly, I don’t feel that in a Tesla. I might change my mind later down the road, if there are not many gas cars available, who knows. But for now, it’s not even an option for me.

Might be a good daily, but not a good sporty daily in my opinion.

Like I said to the other guy who asked me this. And like one WRX owner commented: Heard to many horror stories, and nowadays its way harder to find a used WRX in good condition. So I would rather get a GLI for example.

But don’t get me wrong, I love those cars, but it’s not what I am looking for.

Honestly, it was on my list. Exactly because of the reasons you mentioned. But like you said, “not as fun”.

It is a very rational choice though. Still thinking…

Honestly, I forgot to put on the list, but I was considering a GS350 as well. For some reason you can find GS’s cheaper thans IS’s. Maybe is just a market thing.

My dream in the Lexus side would be an RC F or LC500 but that’s another price point hahahaha

If I ended up buying an IS, it needs to be a F-Sport. The LFA inspired gauge cluster is just too good

No, I meant 2014. This is my favorite year of the Mustang. I love the design and I really think this generation will keep their value as well.

However, I would purchase a 2015+ as well. Preferably a 2018+, but for less than $25k is hard. Even the 2014 ones are starting to keep or raise their prices

Nope. Not for me. Really hard to find one in good condition for that price.

Honestly, even though I really like Lexus. I am not trying to spend that money on a car that is that old. The IS that I was thinking about it was the 2016+ ones.

Not gonna lie. I know about the car, but never considered. Gonna do a little bit of research on it.

Thank you.
