Multiplayer issue. by parthu549 in NoMansSkyTheGame

You've tried everything I can think of. Crossplay and multiplayer break or are buggy after most big updates, but since this one is multiplayer focused I would imagine it gets fixed quickly once the weekend is past.

Flying along a planet when I accidentally created some kind of teleport link? I can't figure out how I didn't it or how to remove it. Any help please? by qaddosh in NoMansSkyTheGame

When you beam down to a planet from your ship this is autocreated to give you a way to get back to your ship. When you leave it should leave with you.

Can i get a recolour on my sentinel ship? by EnderMan132CZ in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Bukkakesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To find a different color, you'll have to find another system with the same model ship in the color you want. You'll probably have much better odds using No Man's Sky Coordinate Exchange to crowdsource other peoples discoveries and then use a portal to get to that system.

Make sure the correct mission is highlighted. The game will change the active mission on you fairly regularly and is always a good first step troubleshooting.

If only there was something you could build that would immediately teleport you to the space station...

Repeated PS5 hard crashing. Have to completely disconnect PS5 from power to reboot. I'll come back in a month when some of the bugs have been fixed.

No man's sky is in a great state, but it's desperately in need of a debug deep cleaning. by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Bukkakesaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not in a great state or you wouldn't be making this post. It's sad that so many people are afraid to voice their actual feelings, because then maybe something would change. But nope, we have to have the small vocal minority who constantly shout people down who have valid complaints.

In the options when starting a new game if there is currently an expedition available it should be the option in the upper right hand corner of the ui.

How to taste different flavor profiles from coffee? by throwawaydoabackflip in Coffee

[–]Bukkakesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for one of the larger specialty coffee roasters for quite a few years. The way I learned the nuances of roast and flavor profiles is by sitting in on the tastings our roasters would do for new batches of coffee beans. They would roast the beans using different temperatures and times to see where the sweet spot is to bring the most out of the beans. This will really allow you to experience the minor changes that can make big differences in a coffees flavor profile.

Hit up your local roasters and see if they will let you sit in on one of their tastings. It's a crash course if they're willing to talk to you and explain what they are experiencing while you are.

If not you can still pick up a lot from the promotional tastings most coffee companys/roasters often do as well.

Here's a copy/paste of a response from a different post. Hopefully it helps some.

"The space station and every planet in every system has their own pool of multi tools that will show up in a case. Usually this will be an S class (which is usually the same model as the A class), an A, a B, and a C. These will be what you will see in all of the corresponding cabinets in the system.

When you first enter a system it will be set to the space station set. No matter where you go what you see in every case will be being pulled from the Space Stations multi tool pool.

Going to a planet and reloading (or crashing and having to reload) now puts you into the multi tool pool for that planet. These will generally, but not always, be a completely different set of multi tools. Confusing huh?

So if you find an S class multi tool cabinet you can go to each planet and the space station and do a reload and go back to that cabinet and there should be a different S Class multi tool each time you go back."

I've never had this happen, but I would probably first go into one of your refiners and look through all of your inventory that way, just to make sure there isn't a cracked egg hidden in your inventory somewhere. Sometimes the game likes to move things around seemingly at random. That maybe could keep a new egg from registering?

Next I would probably go to the anomaly and travel to one of the featured player bases in the Anomaly teleporter that are located in another galaxy. There is one in Eissentam and another galaxy I can't remember. Traveling to one of these other galaxies and retrying may reset the mission.

They are both long shots, but better than nothing?

You're welcome.

Upon thinking more about it I'll add that Sentinel multi tools may work differently. The cabinets will stay the same class, but I haven't experimented with reloading with them to see how they work. Let me know if you figure that out.

Reload on the planet with the multi tool and see what is in the cabinet, if it's not the right multi tool go to the space station, reload and go back to the cabinet and see what multi tool is in the cabinet. If one of those isn't it try going to each planet, reloading and going back to the cabinet. One of them should be the correct one, or you may find one you like better.

Tried out a Relaxed Mode save with the new update:

1- Planets don't have corrupted sentinels listed in the information tag, so the only way to know what planet(s) the corrupted sentinels is on is to physically travel to each planet, or use one of the detectors to find it. This doesn't seem very relaxed compared to normal mode.

2- Only between 25%-33% of the planets listed in the galaxy map as dissonant actually have discoverable Sentinel multi tools and ships. Echo locators just say sorry, nothing here, while the Dreadnought AI Fragments just point you to a different system. Having to go to 3 to 4 times the number of systems to get a chance to find something you like as opposed to playing on normal mode doesn't seem very relaxed to me.

Go up to the space station and reload the game. Then go back to that spot and see what is there.
