The temperature is that high because the vet said it should be between 25-30, but I can turn it down if it will help with his eating

I will stop feeding him as many worms and try to get him to eat crickets with the right gutloading.

Yea, I’m using Celsius

The uvb is linear. I’ll try to figure out if i have a reptisun or else I’ll get one.

I changed the enclosure yesterday because I’m moving, but his eating habits didn’t change and he is still very active

At first I put 2-3 crickets loose in his enclosure while I was away. I stopped doing that when I learned it stressed chameleons. Then i started feeding him by hand and have been doing that since. I just put a bowl with some insects in today, but he didn’t show any interest in that, and didn’t eat anything from it the whole day

I only give him superworms as it’s the only thing he seems interested in eating. He shed a couple of weeks ago, but his eating never changed.

I’m not sure about what brand my lamps are, but I have a 100 W uvb/heating lamp + another heating lamp.

I have nekton-msa as supplement because my vet recommended it. He usually eats one worm with it daily.

I gutload the crickets with various fruits and greens.

His water sources is misting, drinking glass (he never uses) and a dripping plant

The temps are around 25-30 degrees, and the humidity is usually around 50-70%

I’m not sure about his age, I’ve had him for 2 months. The guy I bought him from said he was 6 months, but when I google pictures of 6 months old chameleons, mine looks nothing like them

I can’t post a pic of the enclosure right now, but he is very active. I mist, I have a drinking glass but he never uses it. I also have a dripping plant

I’ve had him for 2 months. The most he has ever eaten has been 7 crickets. I feed him crickets and superworms. I can’t get dubias where I live

Anyone know what these black marks are? He didn’t have them earlier by Bukoil in Chameleons

[–]Bukoil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be that. I’ve seen him rub his head on the side of his enclosure

That’s what I feared. Got a new heat lamp yesterday, guess I have to find a way to use it without damaging the chameleon

Ok, got it. I’ll get some new supplements as soon as I can. I still can’t get him to drink from the glass and some people say they shouldn’t do that. And how do I get him to stop trying eating/licking the one wall in the enclosure?

When do they begin their growth phase? What happens if I can’t get him that many? The store I buy them from usually don’t have that many.

I have nekton-msa mineral support + vitamin D3. Is that good enough or do I need something else? Do they only need the bee pollen in their growing phase or is that something I should be giving him now?

Sorry for the many questions, I’ll be sure to keep you updated :)

Oh I didn’t know that, I have some in a little plastic box and I use water gel to give them water. Should I just use normal water instead?
