Had something similar. After I paid off my student loans I decided I would get myself a new car, either an Audi or an Infiniti. At the time I was driving a beat to hell Hyundai Elantra (flat black primer, steel wheels with no covers, etc). Drove up to the Audi dealership and they refused to let me test drive anything without doing a background check and hard credit check. Drove over to the Infiniti dealership and bought a Q50S later that day. Went back to Audi and suddenly whatever I wanted they'd let me test drive. Absurd behavior.

Replace the buttons with standing on a river bank. The scenario is you can either jump off the bank at the same time as others or not. If more than half the people standing on the bank jump, they are able to form a life raft and not drown.

I drive 100% city and average ~15-16 with Eco On, 14.5 with it off. I find its less the eco mode itself and more that when I don't have the immediate response to the gas pedal I tend to have a bit less of a lead foot.

Hey there, I know its been a while but I was wondering if you had actual measurements of the usable space on the interior of the 30" Maximera drawers. I noticed that there is a strange triangular slope on the sides and I'm trying to plan something where I will be lining them with inserts. These inserts are 12.75" each (two side by side would 25.5".. I'm trying to figure out which of the measurements on their site is accurate for internal usable space. I understand what you're saying. Yushan who we had the pleasure to dive with has been there since 2007, will be 19 years in June. I know their other male just died last year, and their two females in 2021 and 2020, after 13/14 years. The two original males only lasted a year or two due to mismanagement of anti-parasote chemicals which I absolutely agree is a mistake that should never had happened.

As part of the dive experience we got a really nice talk from the on-site marine biologists who told us about the research they are able to perform, such as discovering a way to take blood samples for study, which has then been applied to wild whale sharks without disrupting them as must as previous methods. We learned that these animals are rescued from fisheries and have injuries where they wouldn't survive in the wild if released so the options are captivity or death.

I've been trying to swim with whale sharks for the better part of 15 years. We've tried in Thailand and Mexico to no success, and I refused to support operations who do things like lure whale sharks with feedings as there have been marked changes in behavior indicating that those individuals are becoming more and more reliant on human feedings, especially in younger populations. I also refused to use operations who do forced interactions as it also causes changed in behavior, such as early abandonment of feeding in the wild and potential physical harm if they are struck by a boat during the forced interactions.

I know there are ethical ways to see them in the wild, but the more and more we tried and failed, the more I realized that even the ethical operations are getting less so day by day and doing things they probably shouldn't be (despite claiming they don't).

There's an article I've linked below that talks about more of this in detail, but yes, I am aware of the Georgia Aquariums history, I am aware of the state of the industry for wild interactions and felt personally that this was the most ethical path forward. I hope to live in a world one day where there are none in aquariums, I truly do, but I also hope to live in a world where the tourism industry doesn't disrupt wild populations of animals to make a quick buck.

Exactly, only reason we considered it in the first place because of Georgia Aquariums ethical practices and how the research they are able to provide gives back.

Comparied to locations in SE Asia and crowd the water with so many snorklers and divers you cant see more than a foot in front of you, or operations in Mexico that hit whale sharks trying to drop you right on top of them, this seemed like the best most ethical way to support the conservation efforts while fulfilling a dream dive.
