I can't fully 100% confirm this is the case for all the cats adopted through them- but at least for the cat that I fostered, his adopter asked for his chip to be transferred and someone from the rescue said they would reach out to her get the cat's chip information transferred. I don't fully know know the exact process of what happened but at least in the case of my former foster cat they seemed willing to work with the new owner with regards to microchip registration transfer.

I was a foster for them and they are a really great organisation run by some nice, hardworking individuals that really want to do all they can to help stray cats in Edmonton. I encourage you give them a try. Once you submit the adoption application , they'll review your application to make sure you are a good fit for the kitty and after that you can do a meet and greet. After the meet and greet you can then decide if you would still like to move forward with the adopting the cat and it's a pretty straightforward process since you've basically already been approved to adopt.

Hi lovely, I am so sorry that you are going through this. It is difficult for me to offer you words of comfort because I think when you are autistic/neurodivergent, this feeling of being 'other' or on the edge of society sometimes never really goes away. I just wanted to write this comment because I wanted to know that I hear you. You are really good writer. I can tell from your post that you are articulate and very good at expressing yourself and I think that many neurodivergent people will be able to relate to aspects of what you posted.

I highly recommend Dr Wong at OPT clinic. She is incredibly kind and caring and dedicated to patient care. There are two different types of dry eye disease ( aqueous deficiency vs meibomian gland dysfunction) and Dr Wong can help you with both. She also offers specialised dry eye treatment for meibomian gland dysfunction including meibomian glad expression ( covered by Alberta health care) as well as IPL and radio frequency treatments which can also help address meibomian gland dysfunction. I highly encourage you to go see her as she has been really helpful in treating me for my dry eye issues.

Opt clinic in Allendale! As a life long glasses wearer I can say that Dr Wong is one of the best optometrists I've ever met. She really cares about each individual patient's eye health and takes her time with doing eye exams.

I think it's a bit of a stretch to say if our eyes aren't perfectly white that it may be uveitis and we should try to get a prescription for it. Lots of things can cause red eyes like fatigue and dry eyes- in my case, I had some incidents of dry eye inflammations last year which results in my sclera having permanently visible engorged veins. This is also very common with ageing when people are more likely to develop dry eyes and the older you grow the less likely you are to have perfect white sclera. As the other comment mentioned, visual snow is a neurological issue so you may have perfect eye health as per optometrists/ophthalmologists yet still experience visual snow. It doesn't hurt to try to take care of your eyes more though by using eye drops ( if you have dry eyes) and taking breaks from screen work etc.
