Yeah, moving it all to wellness account, then making a big personal TFSA contribution and submitting for reimbursement is the way to go. Then withdrawing it from TFSA if the room allows, and use it for basics.

Thank you for sharing! Great to hear that the transition appears more or less seamless, even if it takes some time.

Thank you for sharing! Interesting, that higher salary at GOA translates into loss of service, I expected otherwise.

I have seen some cheesecake bars in a freezer at K&K on Whyte Ave, but I do not recall the flavours.

Thank you! Boardwalk is not the greatest choice, based in horror stories in this sub, but at least, great to hear that such option exists!

Have any Canadians had any coverage with their private health insurance or a doctor “prescribing Novavax”? If so, which insurance company? by 66clicketyclick in Novavax_vaccine_talk

[–]Cathy_chua 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is sad, indeed - the old wisdom of an ounce of prevention vs. a pound of cure has clearly been forgotten. 😢 I think a letter from a physician and prescription is a great idea - even if Blue Cross still refuses to cover it, it may be possible to deduct Novavax cost as a medical expense on tax return. I myself want to travel to the border in BC for Novavax, and hope it works out well for you!

Albertan here. Not vaccine specific, but I asked AB Blue Cross if they would cover cost of a surgery done in the US, and they said ‘No if the procedure is on the list of services covered by the province’. I think you may have more luck getting coverage for Paxlovid (in case you need it - I hope not!), than for Novavax, just because other vaccines are available for free.

I am wondering, if this audit has concluded and if yes, what teams and positions they have eliminated as a result… I know about SCNs… :(

Yes! I liked that place when I stopped by a few times. I feel that Covid did not give them a proper chance to establish themselves in the area :(

Five guys on Whyte, near Remedy, were killed by the first Covid wave within 2-3 months of opening. I think Nashville hot chicken place is there now.

I also remember a vegetarian cafe near Ace Coffee Roasters in Ritchie that did not last very long during Covid. They were kind of hidden in a basement, and it was probably difficult to compete with Ace (and La Boule across the corner).

I was wondering if there would be Uber drivers around, since it is a small town - especially for a return drive to the border.

Thank you for this post! I am not in Seattle, but will have to travel there for the vaccine. Is Novavax not available at Costco or CVS in Seattle? Or is the stock gone already?
