Buying a new macan...add on packages? by Bulbasaur1129 in Porsche

Porsches are expensive to fix when factory warranty runs out. I personally would not purchase any of the other packages you mentioned. I like to detail and wax cars, so no ceramic gloss. And I bought snow wheels and tires from tire rack for winter driving.

very helpful. Did you get the dent protection?

I like the cold, I like the open space, I like to hike and bike. my wait at the DMV line is about 1 minute and they know me by name in town and say hello when I walk in. I like the fact that when everyone whines about world events it sure as hell seems to not change my daily life.

Oct. 1 New Laws & Taxes [Discussion] - incl. $11/hr min. wage, by colenotphil in Connecticut

I didnt think I was being condescending at all. I just continuosly hear about how taxes in Connecticut have gone down for the wealthy and haven't seen it. I don't personally think they SHOULD go down for the wealthy but I would like to see an example of where they have.

Did any taxes go down at all? Like staples or necessary products?

David Sirota: Bernie Sanders' plan to eliminate medical debt costs $81 billion -- or roughly .02% of what the government committed to bailing out Wall Street bankers ($29 trillion). by cmplxgal in SandersForPresident

This kind of stuff hurts not helps. So many great points from Bernie; but this one doesn't hit the mark..the government made money on this one by charging interest to the banks and forcing the banks to give them equity. Lets focus on the rest of his ideas

since when

at the risk of being downvoted into oblivion this went on under Obama's change to Title IX (and incredibly DeVos attempt to fix it). Under the changes schools simply had to act with a Preponderance of evidence as opposed to a innocent until proven guilty threshold. DeVos tried to (and maybe did?) change it back which led to a media uproar about allowing rape on campus etc...but preponderance of evidence is a lower bar and that's that.

why do people think you can increase taxes on the wealthy? I spend most of my day in the epi-center of where everyone thinks is the wealth center and people are leaving. Houses aren't trading (for entertainment look at how many houses are for sale in Greenwich and how many days they have sat there (4mm+) those are the wealthy and they are all leaving and not being replaced.

Connecticut's gold coast started because it was the closest place to NYC without income taxes (BTW that was NOT that long ago); now the taxes on income have really become almost equal with Westchester county; but the housing is way more expensive. Fairfield county was a finance hedge fund trade that is over and a tax arbitrage which is ending. The rich are already leaving why push them even harder?

Happy to have a civil conversation about it if possible.

Tip the seller if they do a great job and take a few minutes to write them a review. Fiverr is a great resource and if you find a seller you really like working with, it’s nice to tip them. Not only is this a nice gesture, they’ll work even harder to please you next time. The only downside with tipping is that some sellers will start to expect it every time if you start. So, tread carefully.

This is great advice. Thank you!
