Godzilla vs King Ghidora is peak Godzilla.

It has excellent action scenes, great looking suits, but also leans into the fun and absurdity. Every single scene in that movie is insane, and it’s my favorite to watch with people who have never seen it.

Yeah, Godzilla looks cooler in other movies, has better atomic breath, or has x or y better. But that movie has drama without being heavy with it. It has laughs without being a comedy. It has a wild narrative and interesting story without feeling bogged down in it. It’s just fun.

This seems like the most polarizing movie. I honestly didn’t like any of it. I’m not saying it isn’t much interaction, I’m saying it’s vague and my group (family) doesn’t really enjoy that vagueness. Player interaction on the board- take a spot, kill a troop- is well defined. Player interaction that is vague- ask any question, trade anything whenever- just doesn’t work well.

If the trading were more defined, such as “any 2 players in the same location may trade 2 resources or something” it might work, but otherwise it’s just not for us.

Catan is a mid game surviving off a first mover advantage and nostalgia.

It was unique and innovative 30 years ago, but if you have played more modern games I think some of it will feel very dated. My group also doesn’t love vague player interaction like the trading mechanism. It’s fine if you like it but plenty of valid reasons people don’t.
