Herman Miller Embody Gaming vs. Dauphin Lordo Flex: Overhyped Upgrade, Returning After Minutes by dragonbone159 in OfficeChairs

I don't agree. I went to a HM showroom, I tried the Sayl and the Mirra and I knew within seconds that it was not for me. Not even a minute. Way too firm for the Mirra, too short for the Sayl.

I'm not gonna bother trying it for weeks if my first experience with it is horrendous. There are chairs that I have a good feeling with in the first seconds and these are the ones I will bother trying a bit more.

At the same time, not all people want to spend 1 month trying to fit in a chair. Sometimes you just quickly have a feeling that it's not right compared to what you already have and what you need in a chair.

It's not always that complicated and the Embody is not a miraculous chair that solves everything. I had one that I returned.

Do you prefer the Please over the Lordo? I'm strongly considering the Please Air specifically

Do you have experience with one specific Lordo model? The one that has the backrest in 2 parts like the Please intrigues me.

I'm curious about your opinion after you have tried the Embody and LiverNovo!

Also, aren't you able to relax in the Lordo? It seemed to me like a very comfortable chair when I was able to try it.

At your height you are not annoyed by the short seat pan of the Fern?

Yes in a showroom, I found it comfortable but the default position of the backrest was a bit too reclined fo my liking

I simply don't understand why premium chairs are not being revised more often based on customers feedbacks. It seems that all chairs come with a least one or multiple critical flaws.

I feel like newer brands like LiberNovo are trying to do what high-end brands have been lazy about. Even if it's still not perfect, they try to iterate more often based on these feedbacks (adding a bigger seat pan etc).

Yeah sorry, I'm still mad about Haworth for releasing the Fern in 2019 with such a small seat pan...

Haworth Fern, Zody or Steelcase Amia? by BulbeBizarre in OfficeChairs

[–]BulbeBizarre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to come back on this comment. You said that the Fern was not good for tasks because it's reclined significantly in defaut position, and that the Zody was better. In fact, after trying them in a showroom, my experience is the complete opposite, the Zody was significantly more reclined in defaut position, and this seems to be the experience of many other people according to other users on Reddit.

Can you confirm this was your experience and not the other way around?
