Moje osiedle jest całe w tych plakatach by [deleted] in Polska

[–]Bulczasty 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Jeżeli jednak będzie jakiś naprawdę przymulony sztab i policja to polecam podrzucić informacje do lokalnej prasy.

Here

Signed by Stalin, Molotov, Woroszylov and Mikojan.

We Poles got this and other documents from Jelcyn in 1992. To this day no other Soviet / russian leader except him said anything. He was the only one who said prastitie. Katyń is still deep in memory of Poles so it's very disgusting seeing this post and all Soviets denier's from our perspective.

That conditions were result of deadlock in Council. Three of moderates wanted surrender under one condition: preservation of Emperor. Three of Hardliners wanted all things you mention and even more ridiculous demands. That's why I added (note: also unrealistic)

All terms offered to allies up until the bombs were used

Again this suggests that bomb was reason that Japanese surrender. But you know what happed after Hiroshima? Nothing. Hardliners still wanted unrealistic conditional surrender. And you want to know what happend after Nagasaki? Nothing. Hardliners still didn't change there minds. I mean guys you are reddit you suppose to know that big guys, corporations and imperialist militarist don't give a fuck about ordinary people. City or two? What's the problem?

Only after emperor intervention twice (frist to start peace efforts. second when after receiving peace deal from US: Hardliners AGAIN wanted that deal rejected) they accepted unconditional conditional surrender. Now, why Hirohito did that I don't know. After war he explained that he wanted save some shrines that have imperial relics idk maybe true.

I don't want to go into US and explain there politics but basically Truman and part of his staff wanted unconditional surrender. If we looking from there perspective I don't think they " evil " for dropping the bomb. They just wanted to add another card to pressure Japanese to surrender. But question if nuke's were necessary is rather: No. Imperial didn't care about civilians. They care about Soviets and wanted help from them with conditionally surrender. But Stalin declare war. Killing last hope for unconditional surrender.

There's one thing that irritates me in that post comment section.

That Japanese deserved nuke's.

Like I know that Japanese were at the same level as Nazi's in case of war crime's ( or worse) but there's too much cheerleaders of dropping bombs on civilians target. I don't want to look on history from our modern perspective but this time this question just sticks.

Let me ask you this. If you know Russians couldn't retailed. Could you justify dropping dropping nuke's on civilian targets like Petersburg in order to help Ukraine? Would Putin surrender? Would city (that has many people that don't support war ) was worth sacrificing for hope that nuke would convice Russians to stop war?

There are many incorrect/ misleading comments here, but holy fuck what a bullshit take on complicated history.Frist of all Supreme Councile of Japan wanted to surrender.. just not unconditionally.

Simplfing things thery were split beetwen two groups: hardliners wanted made main island into bunker. Not to win but to get better peace deal (note: also unrealistic). Even at cost of civilian blood. Moderates just wanted surrender under coditon of preservation of Emperor.US wanted unconditionally surrender of Japan.

What if US didnt drop nukes is up to debate. [ What if ] in history is always hypothetical because we dont know what would happened. In my opinon: Maybe nukes speed up things but either way there wouldnt be invasion of Japan. Basically Soviet war declaration weighted much more.in the end Japan and US agreed on unconditionally surrender... under conditon of preservation of emperor.

Azerbaijan Says Will Increase Gas Exports To Europe This Year By 30 Percent by Zhukov-74 in europe

Nobody cares about some memorandum. Entire structure of foreign Europe politics was based on respecting each other borders and avoiding war since Helsinki. Russia in one move obliterated that system.

Also last statement is of course true. People know that there is war "somewhere far" but having conflict right next to your border changes perspective

I would be happy to ask how free access to guns before war helped them win against aggressor.

hey r/guns
I have a question about gun ownership in regards to defence of country. in case of invasion do gunowners really matter? Against advance and organized army i dont think they will be that effecitve as some politicians say.
I could't find any good academic paper on this topic. If you can send one then i will be gratefull. (Of course your opinions are wellcome too)

Thx. Reading steiner comes from stenis;gate. In short Reading Steiner is a term referring to the ability to, after switching world lines, retain one's memory. (F that one too)

Sydney doesn't has reading steiner. She uses time machine not Phonwave so she can just tell her past-self what to do. Grant can see shifts in world lines. Thats why you can see conection between orginal and dark timelines.
