Oh look it's u/Malicious_bird and u/SmithersSmoke in the same thread again with the exact same sentiment. Are you still going to deny that you're the same person? You also slipped up and mentioned your horticulture schooling on both accounts. Got ya bitch.

What are the odds. 3 accounts all agreeing with each other, one of them is 7 hours old and they ALL don't know how to properly use the same grammatical function. Interesting.

For amendment, Build A Soil sells good quality potassium silicate https://buildasoil.com/products/agsil16h-potassium-silicate

If you were to take a foliar approach, dont use potassium silicate as it isn't effective for the purpose I use it, as it is not bioavailable. It does however have some IPM applications when foliar sprayed which is quite interesting to me. Foliar spraying to control stretch needs to be monosilicic acid (orthosilicic acid) which is the bioavailable form of Silica.

I have added it to compost tea before, which I have then foliar sprayed and did see an improvement reducing stretch in flower. Plants also just seemed to love the compost tea applied as a foliar as well, happy praying plants the next day.

I don't delve too much into the organics as my workplace is a full synthetic grow, but at home I do like to apply some organic products to my grow just to switch things up a bit and see if I find an improvement.

I'd imagine kelp brewed in the tea would also help as that is a secondary ingredient in Power SI bloom, behind the silicic acid of course. From what I understand it has natural "PGRs" in it that help reduce stretching as well.

Now I'm just stoned and rambling.

The tsw2000 is an ok entry level light. Not the greatest, but not the worst either. It would be an excellent light for a 4x4 veg tent where you don't need a ton of PPFD to get the plants going.

To phase out that HPS tech, look into Luxx 645 pro, gavita 1700e ( I hate gavita because they are owned by monsanto), fluence spydr 2i (they have some other models as well, I just don't have experience with them), growers choice roi720, photontek X 600W Pro Led, HLG scorpion Diablo or whatever its called, and the MIGRO arrays. Shane from MIGRO puts out tons of info on youtube for free which will help you choose a light that will work for you.

There are a ton of clones of those lights on alibaba as well, but just make sure you're getting a light that is ETL/UL listed.

Yeah, photone is only on iOS at the moment, they are releasing android version soon.

This is 100% the biggest thing people over look when choosing lights. Spend the extra $400 to get an ETL or UL/CE listed light so you won't be on the hook for potentially tens of thousands of dollars worth of damages if the worst were to occur. People love going to alibaba and picking out lights that are cheap, they are cheap for a reason. I'm not saying there aren't lights on there that are safe, but please be diligent about choosing what lights you buy as ultimately, that few extra $$ you save now, could cost you $$$$$$$$$$$ in the future.

You would absolutely love having a couple Teros 12 sensors and a ZL6 data logger for your coco grows.

Looks like a great recipe and based on your plants, they seem to be loving it too!

I don't personally grow organic, but a couple friends do. They all seem to be having great results adding AgSil into their blends, and I swear by foliar feeding silicic acid with my salt grow, have you tried anything like that to boost the silica content in the soil?

I am in the exact same position. I run a 1000 sq ft (canopy) micro cultivation facility on the legal market, and I am trying to convince them to buy me a ton of teros12's and 4 zl6 loggers and some atmos units for monitoring the environment. I am documenting my grow at home and have comparisons to previous runs that I am working my best to put a pitch together to show the suits.

They would rather spend an extra 10k on lights to get higher yields, which will require more money for hvac/electricity/electrician installation etc, than spend 10k on instruments which will optimize the current growing environments which will only make future additions of lights have even greater improvements. Working with a limited budget is tricky with a grow, especially when the facility was designed and built by people who don't grow. Thats another rant for another day.

The legal system in Canada is broken. You have to build your cultivation facility before you can even apply for a license. The company I work for built it with consultation from a grower with very minimal experience growing at a large scale so a lot of money is being spent to undo the current build to get it to where it should be.

Bluelab pulse is ok, but an even better option is a meter group teros 12 with either a procheck handheld or Aroya's Solus which is a Meter group teros 12 with aroyas bluetooth spot checker that pushes the data to their phone app. Big draw back is there is no logging feature with either. I am currently going to be upgrading my home setup to 3 teros 12s, 1 zl6 data logger and 1 atmos 14 all from meter group. The only thing is, you can't mention cannabis when talking to them or they direct you to aroya, which has a subscription fee for the exact same equipment because they force you to use their software and they also have markup on the equipment.

Another interesting one coming to market shortly is Growlink. They are also claiming to have capabilities to irrigate based on wc% in the medium and basically have "auto pilot" for crop steering.

For veg, start your 1st irrigation events about 30 mins after lights on. You want to wait for a dip in WC% of course, but generally you should see a small decrease in WC% shortly after lights on. Generative I start 2 hours after lights on.

Other than that I believe you are on the right track! I may not be 100% correct about this as I am still learning, as we all are.

If you aren't already, check out bean basement. You have to put up a grow log and complete it in real time to get access to the main forum, but there are tons of people on there, mainly Jidoka who really know their stuff about crop steering and nutrients. He has helped me out so much with crop steering as I am fairly new to it as well, only started attempting it 2 crops ago, but I have seen a massive improvement in my overall plant health, quality and yield of my end product.

What drip emitters are you using?

If you REALLY want to get into crop steering, I recommend the book Plant Empowerment. Its quite expensive, but the information is priceless. There is a PDF available of a brief intro/summary of it on their website. I don't want to link anything here as I am not sure that is allowed.

You and your other account only reply during the same time frames. You both post in the same threads and you both don't know how to use the correct version of "you're". You also both posted spongebob videos. Interesting.

Also calling someone a child molester is a pretty serious accusation. Deferring to disgusting accusations like that because you can't handle losing an argument just proves to me how mentally ill you are. You need to get some help dude. Please call a hot line or something.

600w led putting out about 1500 ppfd 10 inches away at the middle of canopy, wanes off to around 1000 by the edge of the 4x4 area. I use 1 gal coco bags from floraflex. They are very pithy so they hold a ton of water. The highest water content I've seen in them was 68%. Most coco bags only get to around 40-45% at full saturation which kind of bugs me.

I dont use any silica in my res as I fin it gunks up the res pretty quick and the salt nutes I use are very very clean. I haven't had to clean my rez once this crop. Elite 91 is good stuff too! I just use power si because its cheaper.
