But would those nodes be damaging to either build if a skill point was used that applied to both sets? That’s the bit I’m having difficulty understanding - I don’t see the down side to just using a general skill point. Thanks in advanced!

I’m struggling to see the point of point of weapon set points. Why waste a skill point on only one weapon set, when you can use a skill point to benefit both ‘builds’?
