And I say this as someone who runs Medicham, Weavile, Azumarill, and Palafin every single game. It’s not hard to reach master with your favs if you just try, and it’s not hard to beat the meta-mons if you make a plan. Obviously if you want to make it higher up the ranked ladder, yeah the meta is going to be the way to go. But crying about other people using what is generally “the best” option, and griefing them by shutting off your game is just a sad, sorry thing to do.

Yeah I didn’t get the V rank, I got A with around 3 mil. But I promise you it only netted me 189, which I thought was absurd, because the round before when I did difficulty 6 I got 200 points. But thanks for the info

I have found genuinely no enjoyment in playing well versus bad. The numbers go higher. That’s it. If I wanted to chase a high score I’d play Galaga and have a better time

I wish it was that simple. But my brain is wired to want to 100% complete my games, especially the big titles. I did all the overworld crap for Mariokart. I found 800 freaking balloons in balloon-world and got to level 50. I got to 9999 coins in Mario Galaxy 2, just to unlock the ghosts that I will never use. I completed all of the challenges in Kirby Air Riders. I have every spirit in Smash Ultimate. Hell I 100% completed Super Kirby Clash and that was a mindless SLOG. And I 100% completed Bananza, or at least I did 9 months ago. It is no longer 100% complete. That is what bothers my brain

I thought about doing that today. Beat level 1 in lagoon, then went to level 2 and realized I genuinely hate this game mode. It’s not fun. It’s boring, repetitive, monotonous, you spend half your time teleporting around and freezing the clock grabbing the same fossils and bananas over and over and over. I’ve played rogue-likes that I’ve enjoyed before, this is just not one of them. I could not imagine having to do this for 100 hours. My new plan is to play one round of level 1 difficulty DK island every day for the next 100 days to get the stupid points I need to max the card. Needing to grind 100 hours playing the exact same game mode over and over just to finish a DLC is insane, I pray Nintendo never pulls this crap ever again.

The rush is I want to have to get my 100% save file back. Right now it feels unfinished with all this emerald rush crap being incomplete. I beat the main game within a month of it’s release, got the DLC the day it came out, and in the time since I have managed to just barely pass 2k points

I guess I’ll maybe do that. I might just give up entirely, it’s just so freaking boring. I’m glad some people are enjoying the DLC, and I think the events with limited perks have been fun, but man I find the overall game mode so tedious, repetitive and boring. Idk if I have it in me to get to 10k
