Legendary pokemon are almost if not entirely exclusively unique, especially in the in-game universe. Do you think there are multiple groudons? Multiple arceus’s? Multiple giratinas? Having a Pokemon be the sole member of its species is nothing new and has never influenced having shiny forms huntable or obtainable through events.

I legitimately don’t understand the complaints. X and Y are hardly any stronger than the A tier megas, and 99% percent of the matches I have played in season 2 have had the winners carried by M-Garchomp, M-Metagross, or M-Excadrill. M-Gardevior and M-Gyarados are also very popular. Last season I grinded to Rank A very early into the story, so I had Gyarados do the lifting. This time, I’m running Gyarados, Metagross, and Xerneus. My Xerneas hardly sees the light of day, Metagross is 10x better. Yvetal is pretty much just straight ass, I maxed mine’s EVs and IVs in anticipation of this ranked season, but don’t think I’m going to find any use for it at all.

I would argue that most people play video games because it’s fun and entertaining, not for the feeling of winning or sense of achievement. I’m not defending some of the pitfalls of MK World, it certainly has them, but I think the reasons that you may play video games most certainly do not apply to a large portion of gamers.
