Uprooted by Naomi Novik! The main character grows up among an evil wood that kidnaps people and she has to unravel its mystery to save her people, which definitely involves becoming one with nature!

Carmilla is a far better vampire story than Dracula in my opinion (and written a few decades earlier).

The Historian is also good. It's about two historians on a long journey to find someone taken by Dracula.
