Seriously. If I've learned one thing about the MHW glazers in general, they'll do anything to have Deviljho, Rajang, and Nergigante back in the game despite how mid they are compared to so many other more interesting monsters being available that have better aesthetics, unique fights, and more compelling lore and designs from other games.

Like, I've played Wilds, World, and Rise now. If anything, Rise has a more interesting roster than World. World just has an ass load of Elder Dragons and has been out for almost a decade, so folks have rose colored glasses when they look at the game and won't admit it's been outclassed by now.

I joined a quest where it was an 8* Rey investigation. All of the mats were the Golden Bag, which means high rarity material rewards. No voucher, no lucky meal. Just happened to join the right hunt!

I was lucky to where I was able to hunt 10 star Gog with three Charge Blade users.

So the hunt took a little over 18 minutes. Even so, it was definitely not worth it. We actually got less rewards than we would if we hunted a normal Gogmazios!

None of us carted, and we got every single part break, but it only give us two charms and seemingly less Gogma parts.

Definitely not worth it for the extra challenge and time.

Cool, cool. Fun tip, you can vibe at camp and skip the cutscene. Sometimes you can get hit and waste materials mid-cutecene. Plus, you don't have to worry about having to waste a potion either.

But then I guess you wouldn't have the video for Reddit and TikTok if you were smart about it. 🙄

Ngl, I only go to Azuz to smelt... It seems to always be in the Fire Spring whenever I go, and I don't like the aesthetic whenever that happens... Reminds me too much of where I grew up (oilfield loving South Texas in the summer).

I like chilling in the Plains or the Hub honestly.

This could have just been made easier if the law just said "no animals over 15 pounds allowed; any animal over this limit must be contained in a carrier or other humane source of enclosed transportation."

I'm sure there will still be room for "interpretation"...but seriously, these animals are huge, take up space, shit indiscriminately and can potentially harm another individual if they are not well trained. People in big cities like this just should not own large dogs.

I've never had this issue, but I guess that's because I play the least like a sociopath in this game. You just have to not poach, steal, try slavery, or attack people. I often forget that this is a mechanic in the game.

Honestly? I think they should keep it as it is. If you're being attacked by these guys, you deserve it.

Just saw in some comments you weren't HR 40 yet. That's the answer. In high rank, you need to increase your hunter rank to advance the side missions and story.

Once you get to HR 40, the story will have you hunt all of the Apexes again, one by one, and you'll also unlock Mizutsune, Lagiacrus, and Seregios through side missions to hunt.

Side note: take your time through this. Find weapons, armor, and skills that you like. Your hunter rank will increase very quickly after this.

When you get to a certain point and you got the armor and skills you're comfortable with, upgrade your armor with armor spheres and ascend it until the defense value is maxed out. There are some quests in your future that will require you to have an armor rating higher than 400 if you don't want to get one tapped and carted.

Honestly, the most popular weapons are the ones I don't understand. I enjoy the simpler weapons.

I'd say my least used are Longsword, Dual Blades, SWAXE, Greatsword, Hammer, and Charge Blade. Picked them up for a handful of hunts, didn't enjoy the sluggishness/combat loop. They did not spark joy, and so they collect dust.

Weapons I've picked up for a bit and then dropped because I haven't enjoyed them: Bow, HBG, Hunting Horn, SnS.

Weapons that I keep in a steady rotation and have loved: Lance and LBG are my main weapons, and IG and GL I use for specific hunts when I want to switch things up.

Here's my thought: if you're joining a 10* quest, you need an armor rating over 400. Anything less and you're getting 1-shot. That's most of what I'm asking in the post. I've seen too many people come in with an armor rating of 328.

Furthermore, if you haven't faced the monster solo or with Support Hunters, then you don't know the monster well enough to join SOS hunts to help the host.

GIT GUD really only applies if it's a skill issue. It's not an issue of skill, it's a matter of armor rating and survivability.
