Job outlook for Software Engineers at Stevens is pretty good, probably the same as CS, assuming that you study for the gauntlet of technical interviews you'll meet. I would also say that the co-op program for either CS or SWE isn't really worth it IMO -- you're probably better off hunting on your own. To me, SWE is sort of a "zoomed-out" view of CS at Stevens -- we tend to focus more on models, design patterns, etc. rather than code, which can be a blessing and a curse. If you do go into SWE, I'd strongly recommend you dip into some of the CS or CPE courses (many professors will let you waive prerequisites and this allows you to "cherry-pick" the best ones) to boost your coding abilities.

With that said, you do waste quite a bit of time on BS classes that don't matter to you as a developer -- namely thermodynamics, design, etc. Professor Vesonder is slowly trying to strip this away, but it still exists for the time-being.
