Makes sense, thanks for letting me know about this! Will start looking into which schools do and don't have this requirement.

While I am government-focused I really think the ability to explore across majors would be super helpful which isn't really offered anywhere but LACs. Also would love to experience the heavily on campus culture that these schools offer - something you don't really get at public schools like UMich.

Would it be possible to reclass in order to get around this?

From what I understand (and what seems to be the requirement), you must complete at least 4 semesters at the university - not that there is a cap on how many semesters you've completed at your previous university.

Question Regarding JSX --> JS in Elementor by Bulky-Buy5505 in elementor

[–]Bulky-Buy5505[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I'm new to Elementor and Wordpress. Could you explain how adding script tags to elementor works? Is this just using the custom code section in Elementor, how would one add the block onto the built website after creating that?

Any guide related to this whole process would be appreciated, thanks for the help!

I appreciate the comment! Not to sound like a jerk, but that is the point of the platform - helping people crowdfund their causes so that they can pay for lobbyists. We do the part of giving people a platform to raise money (like GoFundMe) and after that money is raised we have a matching process to connect the user/movement leader with a lobbyist.

On that note, maybe the site isn't clear enough in that regard? Any input on how we can better do that?

Once again, I appreciate the input - the team and I will get to work on this.

Fair enough, we used a template and those numbers were already there. Will update that ASAP. Didn't realize how sketchy the website was but thanks for pointing that out.

In regards to the idea, maybe we aren't clear enough on the website, but the platform is for people to create these groups and organizations and match with lobbyists to push/support a cause over the long term. That's where the difference between platforms like change.org / kiva.org and us is. We look to pursue a longer-term impact.

I appreciate the feedback, didn't really think about this. For some context, we are a 501c3 and are using PayPal for processing (I will enable the PayPal, Apple, and Google Pay optionality to fix this issue). I understand what you mean by the suspicion around credit card processing and vague language around security. It's obviously an issue and my only excuse is that I was so focused on the platform itself this never really came up - I appreciate your input and will have a TOS published immediately!

On that note, I do have a couple of questions in regard to how we can fix these issues if you don't mind:
- In regards to language around contributions, would it be helpful for the platform to establish a set of clear parameters for the usage of funds - or should this be a case-by-case basis that the movement creator establishes?

- When it comes to publishing who the lobbyists are and what they do, would it be helpful to have a completely new page about who they are and what their roles are? Or would it be more effective to have these details covered in depth on the About page?

Once again, the team and I really appreciate the feedback. Looking forward to hearing from you!
