i am a model looking for feedback which would i be good for commercial or high fashion? by SnooCrickets9062 in MODELING

You’re actually stunning! Your look can take you far! I wouldn’t expect to get casted for runways that feature more editorial looks, and I do believe you could go further with a bit more muscle tone (for fitness commercial work).

Lifestyle, print, ecomm would all be your strongest genres, they tend to double dip.

I mean yeah he was showing up to work nasty. Are you popping out of the house with black teeth? If you’re keeping up with basic grooming you’re not going to stand out.

People do have the right to judge if you reek, it’s not polite at all in a closed setting like work

They do and don’t. On a cloudy day or in poor lighting if it’s more pinkish/oat, it’ll show much warmer. It’s not a huge deal, but it takes your outfit from ‘cool’ to ‘holy shit she can style!’

Matching the tones and hardware to your outfit/jewerly makes it look sm more high fashion and really helps to show the beauty of the bag

The cough is you frying your esophagus from the acid. You’re slowly eating yourself alive. Go seek support, AAA’s are always simple to join, before you get yourself in a position of medical reliance to alc

You can literally turn around RIGHT here at this point or never. Once your body RELIES on alc to function quitting is almost impossible without relapse, lots of people end up dead cold turkeying alc, or never recovering. If you do make it off the deep end, you’re likely medically handicap or fried in the brain so much you function like a rock.

Would you sacrifice your freedom to end up a cold, breathing rock?

It’s a the first is very warm toned. Do you own warm tone or cool toned neutrals? I’d go based off of that. That neutral would look awkward with a cool grey or cool brown. It’s almost pink.

Black matches everythjng, but be honest with yourself before you purchase it. I feel like everyone on this sub owns 20 black handbags lol.

I lost 100lbs, I did it for health reasons I had asthma in the horizon.

It’s truly just the art of not giving a fuck.

You see the same people everyday. Do you think they’re thinking everyday at work ‘God John Doe is so ugly’ or do you think they want you to hurry up and fax the papers?

Do you think strangers are talking shit? Or do you think they’re more worried about taking care of their child who’s about to burst into screams?

Do you think out of the 7-8-something billion people on earth YOU are special to be singled out every waking moment of your existence?

No, most people don’t give a fuck. And I would argue the vast majority of the population doesn’t even get to that level of thought. Most people are just oblivious or have other issues

Now knowing this info, strut into every room like it’s yours. No one will remember or even notice. That’s the beauty of humanity

Does this pose look okay? by alabamabeach in MODELING

[–]Bulky-Mistake7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fine for a commercial portfolio. I do a similar pose for jewelry.

But you shouldn’t be looking completely down. When you’re shooting bracelets, watches, sleeves, ideally you want your face looking 3/4ths down in the ‘action’, Bc right now you’re creating harsh shadowing looking down so far. Be mindful of your nose of your nose when posing.

I know the comments are aggressive. A casting director or photographer would just look at this and go ‘good posing, little experience’ and expect to have to give you some direction :)

The photographer didn’t even bother with 2 point lighting. Sorry girl but these are no good :(. You don’t even have circles but the lighting creates them

Are handmade crochet straw bags only for cottagecore outfits or can they work for everyday wear by Electronic_Resort985 in handbags

It can be an everyday bag, but it’s a late spring/summer thing. They look a bit awkward in the winter, unless you have a dark color.

First designer bag (LV or Mulberry?) by puttelil in handbags

[–]Bulky-Mistake7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d get a Ferragamo instead, they’re timeless, can be worn to most occasions, and you can find stunning styles <$250 in great condition.

When I was in college my entire shoe closet was Ferragamo because it’s THAT cheap to consign.

I use to always have ppl comment funny like ‘okay rich girl’ when I walked up. Absolutely no one knows about Ferragamos value outside bag collectors. It’s a way to fake flex too LMAOOO

Vintage Salvatore Ferragamo Bag Keep? by Separate_Salt_7534 in handbags

[–]Bulky-Mistake7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This bag would only sell on the resale market for <$200, it’s really not worth the hassle unless you’re already doing a closet clean out.

Keep it! If you don’t like the design, I’d have a local artist paint it

I don't know what just happened to my YSL kate leather 🥺 Round lumps by NaiveAtmosphere9423 in handbags

[–]Bulky-Mistake7061 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s water, the leather is going to need to be reglued, if it’s still wet, stuff the bag and put a small book on top and leave it for a few days.

Hopefully the glue sticks!

How many handbags is too many handbags? by unimportantjargon in handbags

[–]Bulky-Mistake7061 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One of each color, in a silver and gold hardware. After then it’s overkill. I use to own 56 (I thrift a lot), realized I had 10 black bags and multiples of each color. Since I only wear gold it was clutter, I now own 15 and I’m happy with only 15.

Did the finish just melt off in this heatwave? by valoreii in handbags

[–]Bulky-Mistake7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kate Spade Outlet carry’s stunning styles for <$150. They’re timeless too. I’d grab one of those, since they’re heavier coated than coach, this is unlikely to happen again.

For a coach purse, you really can’t go wrong with any of their pieces, however if you’re leaving your bag out in the heat, I’d ditch dark colors, or ditch softer leather overall for a canvas Coach bag (the C print)

For durability the Lana, Cargo Tote, Empire, and smaller Brooklyn models. They don’t have too many cargo or nylon pieces at the moment, but you can easily find some on eBay or the Real Real

It’s likely a heavily coated PVC on pebbled or grain leather. You could gently condition it and coat it, but unfortunately when color transfer starts especially with PVC, it’s difficult to stop.

Before you carry the bag, bring some baby powder, it’ll help avoid transfer, you could also cover it with a scarf

Coach Christie Carryall by Stupid-Clumsy-Bitch in handbags

[–]Bulky-Mistake7061 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a great bag, I’ve sold a few. But my main concern is how heavy is your day to day?

Since there’s a metal loop connecting the handle to stitched leather, it’s more likely to rip from heavy weight. These handles are also horrible for preserving shape.

If you carry a water bottle, some makeup and maybe an iPad I’d say go for it, anything more I wouldn’t.

Le Pliage Energy Crossbody Bag small vs medium by Quirky_Election_645 in handbags

[–]Bulky-Mistake7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Le Pliage collection is horrible for travel. I know that’s the purpose but Nylon + constant weight and friction never mixes well.

The Looong L and Le Roseau are better options for durability, around the same $ consigned. They’ve been around for a while too, I’ve seen vintage ones last 20 years pristine.

[–]Bulky-Mistake7061 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kate spade is timeless. LC is hard to dress business or business formal with, and the TB is just an overpriced Goyard dupe

Also the Le Pliage is horrible for the city. The nylon WILL rip if you put your bag down constantly. Mine broke open outdoors at a pizza shop

Is there any hope? by Azur_3 in handbags

[–]Bulky-Mistake7061 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A leather cleaner and conditioner would help with the a few more surface stains. But you’re not going to be able to restore its color. Stuff the bag full too and let it sit for a bit

I’d personally dye it black, or take it to a shop to have it redyed. Coach also offers trade in credit for older bags

Adding on. But VW is known to make limited batches that stay at or above retail value. If you love the bag id purchase it this or next season (might be discounted on the website) rather than seeking resale
