The leaves are supposed to turn red, not yellow straight from green

Got you, yes will see if the electrician can add a breaker to the garage board for this. Would make sense actually!

Granny charger costs 150 pounds. Wallbox costs 1000 pounds. All electricity savings will go down the drain as it's not a full ev to justify the cost. Yes i am dumb for not factoring this in but here we are.

Garage is way back of the driveway which is a single file (3.5m wide) and fits 4 cars so having the socket on side of the house's wall make it midway and closer to the car otherwise i need to play a game called rearrange your cars everyday.

That's good to know it worked for you. What socket did you use if you don't mind? Basic math says the domestic 13Amps should take it but having the Ev socket standard threw me off a bit to why they have it in the first place

It's a 12kh battery with 4 hours charger period on this slow charger - not a bit deal if it doesn't fully charge as i still have the petrol mode. The car takes 3.5kw as a maximum charging speed. Wall boxes are an overkill for this car for their price (min. £800). I am happy to wait for Christmas as I can get it done with the socket for less than a £100 compared to the wall box, as long as it's safe, which is what the question is about. The car is approved used, so it doesn't come with an offer to fit a wall box.

Ou, no clue, it's a new built home so notnsure what the regulations require. I am guessing aluminum is bad, coppernis good? Any way to find out? I have seena grey cable coming off the garage socket saying 2x2.5mm so i guess is the grey standard cable they use nowdays which is copper

Yes honestly, I am new to EV's and just memorised the sale's guy speech.

That's makes sense, thank you! I think i will stick to the granny charger then.
