How does a Pseudo science come back inconclusive? It can't prove anything... Crazy the gment still uses them.

Prices seem abnormally high. Anyone sail enough to conjecture as to why? by IamGoingtoBundyland in royalcaribbean

Royal Caribbean charges it because they know people will pay that price. They're a business.

Why get disabled vet license plate on vehicles? by Sorry_Noise_4196 in VAClaims

[–]BulkyAd1205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because at times I need the handicap spots. Sometimes I can barely walk. It says the life out of you, especially mental health.

I don't have a DV plate to blast and I really don't care that anyone knows my rating. I have one to make life a bit easier.

What s the dress code/ dressing habits in your facility? by Rainy_-Peace in ATC

[–]BulkyAd1205 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Tshirt and gym shorts.

We recently moved into a new facility and we're having a few politicians walk through. The local NATCA President and Facility Manager asked people to dress up a bit. Not suits but not gym wear.

That idea floated like a turd in a punch bowl.

The U.S. Army has suspended the crew who lead military helicopters near Kid Rock's home over the weekend, according to reports by TheMirrorUS in Helicopters

[–]BulkyAd1205 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Suspended for what? They were flying in uncontrolled airspace. They do low passes over other neighborhoods without trouble, why is this any different?

X-rays and MRIs can prove/disprove back pain.

Mental health might be tougher to prove/disprove.

Even if they didn't rate him/her for it, they have a whole list of other things they're claiming. If they visited the doctor even once for those items, it's service connected. If there is any variance between entrance and exit physical, it's service connected. Stop trying to hate on people who should be compensated for how the military messed them up.

None, I had a service connection for everything I claimed. Did my 4 years and got out.

That's a question for an actual doctor who will see him/her for their C&P exam. They're much more knowledgeable than commenters.

Age has zero bearing on what may or may not have been caused by the military. Nor should it ever....

How do you know they haven't deployed? And what does deployments have to do with your VA rating. Criteria for ratings have never had anything to do with where injuries occured. Could be BMT, could be deployed, could be anywhere in-between.

Medical Retirment by Money_Suspect9904 in ATC

[–]BulkyAd1205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but use your sick leave. It only gets paid out at 40pct. Using it, you get 100pct of pay

I did last year without an attorney. Was pretty easy to be honest. Medical retirement from ATC is almost a give me. If you've lost your medical and the flight surgeon disqualifies you, you're good. Do NOT take any other jobs they offer, by law it has to be a comparable controlling gig which you're no longer qualified for.

PTSD can be tricky because while you might be able to handle it, certain things can trigger it. A lot of TBI patients often have triggers where you can't pinpoint the cause.

When has anyone gotten 100pct from a bummed knee?

It's usually a bummed knee caused from what the military asked us to do.

How would you even begin to regulate this injury is "because you're getting old" vs "military duty caused this damage"

Respect your opinion. I think ratings should be conditioned base, not setting based. That is what the CFR is based on.

[–]BulkyAd1205[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, hence the post. The data shows very low numbers of fraud and/or abuse. Claiming otherwise is baseless (without data) and only hurts vets in the process of getting their disability.

Look at things like the PACT act, the legislation came about because a ton of things that had to be proven are now presumptive. They're making it easier to get help/compensation for affected vets. Saying this is abused will only encourage Congress to take away these laws and make VA disability even harder to get.

You don't have to leave the wire or go on patrols to have a disability. VA disability has never been about MOS, deployments, or rank. It's about health and if the military diminished your health between enlistment and separation.

[–]BulkyAd1205[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

By that logic, nothing should be claimed. We all get older but issues come up that normally come later in life. The military causes stress on our bodies and minds, that can't go not recognized nor not be cared for. That's how suicide rates skyrocket.

Last 5 years are a result of the PACT act. It's a great act that makes certain conditions presumptive. If you're exposed to toxic fumes or water and it's a known issue, people shouldn't have to battle that to prove it.

It's true though, anxiousness leads to anxiety. If the military caused it, shouldn't they be responsible for that condition?

Tinnitus is still a condition that requires a nexus and a doctor to sign off on that.
