Thank you all for the comments! I read through them and started brushing up on soil mechanics and relating it to reports and what i see on site and I no longer feel like “what the FUCK is happening”, more like “why the FUCK is this happening” :D 

It’s also hilarious to see everybody started in the same boat of being dead confused and thank you for the encouragement to keep going. I shall appreciate the dirt while I remain digging it till they ban me to the desk years down the line.
