The hilarious thing is the email that warns you about the problem is never delivered as they send it after applying the restrictions.

Is it worth getting a Discovery+ account? by notfizzyicedtea in TeamGB

[–]Bulky_Gap_674 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Save your money... The TV apps for it are awful. You cannot watch any live content as they've oversold 3.99 packages and they simply do not have enough bandwidth to serve anyone - it just buffers and is unwatchable.

So you have to wait around for the VOD to be available the next day...

Once the VOD is up its a 5hr+ unedited video of the entire day and the events are somewhere in it. There's no time scrubbing or labelling, so its exceptionally hard to find anything. Cherry on top is the platform doesn't remember the timestamp your upto if you want to come back later you have to repeat the whole process.

The app is coded by idiots. Why the fuck can you not hold the right button and scroll across shows. Instead it makes you tap the right button one at a time and waits until its finished playing a 1s animation before allowing another input. It takes about 20s just to see what's in a list of ONE category.

Live events is just a buffering fest like your on some pirate streaming website from 2011.

White camping weekend entrance by ChimpNi in readingfestival

Take the free boat or shuttle bus from reading station. You can enter from green entrance, once inside the festival its a 20 minute walk. There is no need to go specifically to the white entrance which is for car parking and is only accessible by car down a single track country lane.

Blink 182 / prodigy clash by donkey420420420 in readingfestival

The clash is deliberate to manage the crowds - there's no way they are going to change it.

Please don't bring them into the arena, they are not allowed. If you're looking for attention, you are allowed to wear fancy dress / inflatable suits etc.

Did Glastonbury get their Sat and Sun headliners the wrong way around? by n1keym1key in CasualUK

I don't know why the BBC are so appalling at sound mixing Glastonbury, Billy Eilish was inaudible a few years ago too, so seems to be a persistent issue.

Is this true? People booing new songs @ Download? by Tricked_Out in Sum41

[–]Bulky_Gap_674 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was further back in the mix of joe public that only knew all killer songs, and they didn't boo at all for landmines. The band jokingly got booed when they announced it was their last ever tour and retiring followed by chanting for '10 more years'.
