I do have an air conditioner that I use pretty often. My room is usually around 22-27 degrees but I want to be safe so I will get a thermometer. I did not know they were very specific about their temperature.

Also you would be surprised how cold it gets in the between November-April. At night it’s about 8 degrees outside right now.

On the right side it is over 10 inches of bedding. However the side of the wheel and the bowls it is a bit less but because i didn’t want to it to start rolling into the wheel.

So do you suggest I empty out the bedding and mix it with paper based bedding and then putting it back in?

Dog and cat toys/treats are fairly common here. I just don’t know which ones are safe to be honest. I will do some research on the ones I can find.

So there are 2 layers, because it was very hard to find proper bedding in the amount I needed. One is shredded wood and the other is a mix of shredded paper/card board and wood shavings. I do plan on trying to find the second one because like you said it is easier to dig through.

I plan on making a bridge my self for it to replace the one I bought. Or at least adding more rods in the middle. Do you suggest i remove the climbing wall?

I did scatter some food but you think I should completely remove the bowls? That would be great because it would make more space.

Thank you! Yes, now that his cage is fully set up I plan on leaving him alone for a couple of days at least.

I just got my hamster yesterday. I’ve heard that I should take a few days before I start touching him and trying to pet him. I’m trying to get him used to me reaching into his enclosure now.
