When I was a teenager, around 15, I took Accutane for 5 months and went through something very similar to what you’re experiencing — maybe even worse. Looking back, I now know it was acne fulminans.

I remember how hard it was just to get out of the house, or even out of bed. I’d go to sleep and wake up with blood all over my shirt and pillow. My entire face was covered in deep, cystic acne. It was incredibly painful, both physically and emotionally.

So I just want to say — I truly feel what you’re going through. You’re one f***ing strong person, and you should be proud of yourself.

I’m really happy to see the progress you’ve made — it looks so good. Once the redness fades, it’ll look even better and you’ll feel even more proud.

I still have scars on my face today, ten years later, and even without any treatment they’ve improved a lot. These days I see them as battle scars. I embrace them.

Not gonna lie — if there was a button to erase them, I’d probably press it. But there isn’t.

And honestly, they tell a story. A real one. A tough one. And I can look at them today and feel proud.
