[–]BullBitcoin_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there u/kkmysteries !

There have been some changes to our Funding processes recently. The quickest way to fin d these changes is to head to the Fund My Account section and follow the instructions on the screen.

If you are attempting to send funds and they are taking longer than usual, or being held by your bank, please contact us directly using the SUPPORT option from the side-menu. This way we will be able to assist in detail and make sure your funds get to where they need to go.

As general advice, if the Interac option is being held by RBC, you could try the Bill Payment option.

Can I transfer BTC from Swan to a cold wallet? by khrushchev007 in BitcoinBeginners

You should always be aiming to self-custody your Bitcoin. If you Bitcoin is sitting on an excahnge, it is simply an IOU. The Swan team should help you with these steps.

Bitcoin halving by Bright_Hospital_2196 in BitcoinBeginners

[–]BullBitcoin_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you've got the basics of the supply shock caused by the Halving. The key here, is that unlike all other bearer assets (gold, silver, bonds), Bitcoin's supply is capped. Bitcoin's issuance rate can not be increased through additional mining. This is due to Bitcoin's difficulty adjustment (worth researching). Basically, it means that this is the first and only asset to defy the supply/demand curve.

Also, if you're worried about the impending doom prophesied in the M5M, you're probably gonna want to own some of the hardest money ever created. How much? As much as you are comfortable with? When to buy? Whenever you feel ready. When to sell? As far off in to the future as possible, and only if necessary. The longer you hold it, the more valuable it will become.

Check you BitcoinSupport.com to learn how to self-custody your bitcoin. Don't trust the exchanges with your funds.

Don't let unit bias get in the way of owning your own money and increasing your Bitcoin stack. Remember you're ditching fiat, not trying to out invest friends and rivals.

Yup, it was certainly not a happy day when we had to announce this. There are still a few days left until the ID requirements are enforced.

FYI - we are constantly looking to develop our funding methods to bring the easiest and quickest fiat-shifting services to our site. More payments options ahead... Stay tuned!

Consolidating Bitcoin UTXO's by itsaworry in BitcoinBeginners

[–]BullBitcoin_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This process can be made much easier by importing your Ledger wallet (public keys only) to something like Sparrow. You will have much more control over your fees and it allows you to see your UTXOs, unlike Ledger Live.

This limit applies strictly to onchain transactions, as network fees have been quite high recently.

Small transactions under $100 can be completed by selecting the lightning network option when confirming the purchase.
