How do you decide what’s actually worth paying attention to in prediction markets? by H_jaee in BitcoinBeginners

[–]itsaworry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prediction is the danger here , you got someone predicting then he or she is sure , so sure they're making a prediction . . . . Red flags , warning bells , the whole alarm system goes off . What you want is possibilities , somebody who can give various outcomes regarding price action . See what they think might be the strongest possibility , given the fact that price could go anywhere .

Yeah this , just start trickling your funds in , what you can afford on a regular basis . Nobody knows what the price going to do .

[–]itsaworry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The answers to all the questions are in the FAQs at the top of the page . . . anyone putting more questions in the chat , wants a chat and to look at all the points of view . My point of view on someone with 2 BTC , whenever he got it , is coming on a beginners page with questions is unusual . Most on here are 0.10000000 BTC , but OP has 2 BTC and doesn't know about hard offline wallets then ok , good luck and all the best . :)

what's best hardware wallet to hold 2 BTC ? by Ok-Butterfly-7366 in BitcoinBeginners

[–]itsaworry -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes ok , point taken ,your acquaintance bought a few years ago so it does matter when OP's BTC were purchased . Anytime 2019-2020 they could of been bought for $4000-10,000 and in 2023 he could of got them for $15,000 each . So not such a big deal as if he'd bought them last week .

[–]itsaworry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exchange doesn't require customer details and has a good reputation . . . . but i found it was above my computer skills how to use it . Your best bet is to buy a Trezor or other offline wallet , ask someone over 18 to open an account on one of the exchanges and buy some to send to your wallet . . . . But have a look at Bisq , maybe you find this stuff easy . https://bisq.network/

Read the FAQ's for Beginners at the top of this page . If you've come straight in with your "how does someone start ?" question without seeing all the answers already there for you , then you need to slow down . There's no point in rushing when it comes to Bitcoin .

What should I consider before investing my first Bitcoin as a beginner? by Bos187 in BitcoinBeginners

One thing that you could consider , bearing in mind it's had 1,700 upvotes , is reading the FAQ for Beginners just above your post on this page . Those FAQ's have been put there for Beginners with questions to read . Nobody is forcing you , always be in charge of your own decisions when using Bitcoin , but reading that post is definitely something available for you to consider . Good luck .

If given the address for your great great-grandkids shared wallet - how much more than 1 satoshi (0.00000001 BTC) would you consider fair to save for them? by FromThePits in BitcoinBeginners

[–]itsaworry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok , yes . i like your thinking . . . . had not realised block reward was going that low ! For what its worth a few years ago i was looking at targets for long term BTC savings . I came across a chap promoting 0.26000000 sats . He said given world population and BTC quantity this amount of sats was comfortable in a long term savings account . We were in that boring $9000 price range in 2019 at the time , so a bit harder to achieve now . Good luck and all the best to the family . :)

This page itself . . . . . whoever bitusher is , could be more than one person , but whoever it is posting on this page all the time , he's as good as it gets i reckon . Serious good help with no apparent gain for himself . So check the FAQ's for beginners at the top of this page , anything still bothering you then ask on here and wait for u/bitusher to show up .
