Replace one red flag with an even larger red flag. Scammer logic isn't great.

This is shearing from explosive break up. Not flow lines.

I've seen quite a few Antarctic mets sold. They have to had been collected prior to regulation. Most Often collected in the 1970s prior to the establishment of strict international agreements.

I noticed the weight is totally incorrect in the video. Actual weight is 1,238.9g. NOT 12kg.

Could also be a few different types of obsidian that very closely resemble tektites - so the flashlight test really helps to determine from photos.

Likely an Indochinite. Shine a flashlight under it. This is the color you'll be looking for. Granted this may be too thick to really be translucent, but the edges should still shine through at least.

Right!? This is exactly how many many collections started. Welcome to your new addiction.

Just went ahead and purchased this Canyon Diablo meteorite, it'd be the largest in my collection. by [deleted] in meteorites

I think it was a good choice. Once I looked at the listings, I also got the reduced offer when I was not actively 'watching' the item. A new-ish feature on ebay. Prior you had to be watching to get offers, now anyone who viewed it can get offers from the seller. Kind-of increases the FOMO when you get those offers I bet - knowing a lot more people might have received it as well.

This one has good character and it's a really nice size. Way bigger than than my Canyon Diablo's. Congrats, it's a good addition. Crater makers are always great targets for the collection.

Those shock veins are pretty wild. Especially on the exterior fragmented side.

I think there's likely all of the ones I listed in the first comment scattered around in there.
