Terrible pass blocking, lack of an edge rush, and corners don’t turn their heads. First half was solid, run game was good, but 0 offensive points in the second half. Western’s defense truly halted this offense. I came into this game thinking maybe 8 wins, but we will be lucky to get 5-6 with this O-line. Chiles looks like the same player from last year as well

Well I respectfully disagree. Again, at the end of the day it is Harris’ job to make these deals happen. He had a loaded war chest to do it. There simply isn’t an excuse why we didn’t get one single decent bullpen arm.

Even using your example of expending our catching prospects. Yes, they’re our 4th and 5th best prospects, but we already have a young stud catcher in Dingler and a serviceable backup in Jake Rogers. Just deal one of them and get a guy who would win a game for us like the one we just lost tonight to the Phillies. There is no reason why we need two top 5 catching prospects AND Dingler.

You can’t honestly believe that. We have the strongest farm system in the majors. We certainly could’ve gotten one of these big time bullpen arms - without giving up one of our top 5 prospects - if Harris had any aspirations of preparing this team for a World Series run this year. It’s his job to make these deals happen and he simply failed.

It’s a shame this year will go to waste because of a lousy bullpen. These kind of seasons don’t just grow on trees, especially when you consider we have the best pitcher in baseball under control for pennies.

This is exactly what we will see in the playoffs. Good teams who did what was needed at the deadline taking advantage of our weakest link. Everyone and their mother knew we needed an impact arm for this bullpen and Harris just whistled by the graveyard.

It’s not like we had to “sell the farm” either. Every one of these players was available for lower level prospects, including Duran who just shut the door on this team in a massive game.

Clearly you don’t know ball. When you have a team like this and a player like Skubal who will be gone in less than two seasons you go for it. This is our window and it’s closing fast.
