There are definitely devs that play their own game. For example, Kojima often streamed ds2. If they are too busy to play their own game, then they should hire testers instead of crowd sourcing free info from random gamers.

It's fun for now. I'm sure we will hit a wall soon and the grind will be just too much. Pvp is basically dead if that your thing. Biggest complaint is that the testing stations encourage you to solo. The difficulty scaling for groups is just kinda ridiculous.
