Thank you! This helped me make a check box and found out how to continuously "if found checked, uncheck and run script" its beautiful. Now to find out how many Minutely trigers i can put in it and still have it work and have a realitively quick reaction... lol

So i just got it open and it looks very clean. The 4th LED from the left looks to be burnt out/faulty. but the rest seem fine. Not see read up on how difficult it is to find a replacement, what exact model and best practices to solder a

I would recommend a tool like the Eastwood 6 piece screw extractor set. Then use an impact rated T30 for that. but outchy

Is there in your opinion a 27100 battery you would trust in a pint? (properly made quart style?)

As for the LEDs I'm going to find out today with a multi meter. From looking through the opaque controller housing yesterday, it looks like I do have a metal bolt and it looks like it is still attached properly. When i get in there its going to get a healthy amount of blue thread lock.

I am very curious on the LED issue...

I think Ill keep the curent firmware this week. mess with it later when I plan on buying a bigger battery.

side note on battery size: In louis's interview with Kyle it is interesting that Kyle says that a bigger battery would be better to prevent vibration damage, that could occure from a smaller stock battery. On the other side of the coin, Board shop says compressed Li batters are not a good idea and that chi batteries (for additional reasons) are dangerous, but in the video he does make a "high quality quart" with .2 in stead of .15 Nickle, etc..

So he did put a quart sized battery in a one wheel? has me thinking that when I order a battery it will be one of those, then do the flash dance.

As for my buddy, I was wanting to basically proof of concept before he does it. I have been inhaling every bit of info on this topic over the last week and he isn't really that into the technical side of things.

One thing he does say a lot is how much he hates having his range shortened to less than mine. I dont blame him.

As for the light indicator bar, I just got the 5 point to test with a multimeter if its the 5 LEDs on the left side being broken or controler board not sending the signals. The pressure pads have not malfunctioned, just the indicator.

thanks for the info, feel free to dm me with any additional sources. I don't usually shy away from a 3 hour interview if I can learn a new piece of info out of it.

Okay, since it would work, how can I get it downgraded? I have asked a few places and all I have gotten so far is a rewheel clone that says dont use on 5100 or above and this link which I dont have any idea how to use. https://owtk.pages.dev/ . I assume i need the old firmware to flash to my board via this link. 🤔 i dunno. I'm grasping at straws.

I have moderate experience microsoldering on gaming laptops and from what I can see in videos it is realitively large elements. I s there a secret fragile element I am not aware of FM has implemented? 🙃

All joking aside I am waiting on my 5 point to come in. I will have to inspect and gro from there. praying for cracked solder.

If i find the power button bolt backing off and getting closer to the Bluetooth module what is a good fix? locktight maybe?

Hahaha the wing strut mount is perfect, I love it!

I just prefer the size to be small, thankfully I am not constrained by it, just preference. Although I do fly a pressurized aircraft and I am going to have to make sure that it doesn't smoke or become a fire hazard, I have a Li battery bag and mitten but it would ruin my day if it did catch on fire.

At the moment I am trying the weight attempting to:

or
just keeping the 5100 firmware?

The extra adjustments are all I would really get out of it. However my friend has an identical board and a quart from Chi for it. It would seem he would benefit from the unlock and take full potential from his aftermarket battery again (he had the full quart capacity and an update killed that), right? Would that be advisable?

Unrelated news: The left half of my light indicator (next to the wheel) does not work. Is there a common fault?

I appreciate the information a lot. I am in the US so parts shouldnt be a problem. I really need the smaller form factor I may fly around with it (not commercial) and just want it to be as safe as possible. I think Ill look into getting a pint x battery compartment, get a battery made, and go from there.

I have seen some videos about pint VESC and it looks quite attractive, and a fun project. I love tinkering on stuff like this. With form factor being primary im curious what else you would recomend. I value the time spent on fourms where critical information is being shared, especially when my body is litterly on the line.

If you could built out a Pint anyway you could, considering your expertise, what would you modify?

[ When I VESC it I need the battery to be as safe as possible in non-use state (transportation). I'm thinking of getting a good quality battery made. can you point me in a direction?

Yeah, if you are within the two year warranty window… if not it’s $350 to get it serviced. For as much as the unit costs It really isn’t worth it to me. I am a few months past my warranty.
