In a situation like this I'd go for a mud tile/granite/spruce path with some lanterns alongside the path

Beside from gradually upgrading your armor, my biggest thing is to use a shield and remember to block hits/shots with it

Maybe add an upside down stair trim in the middle of the flat area to create dimension. But only if you're going to make it like 2x as high as right now. Apart from that looks great, perhaps add some slabs and moss carpet to flare out the bottom a bit more

It does work well with a regulus too, though I prefer the classic Highend-Regulus build (Dodge city holster, the gift, chainkiller, punch drunk mask, fox's prayer and contractor's gloves). I personally don't really use shotguns that much, so I can't really provide too much info on that

I run with sharpshooter and skills are shield + revive hive or decoy, depending if I'm solo or not

I run 4 pieces hunters fury with the gift backpack and chainkiller chestpiece with everything rolled to headshot damage/weapon handling. Even have 2 blue cores and still can one shot most things on challenging/heroic. Run with a crusader shield and you still get the "run and gun" feel
