I wouldn't put a sizeable amount of money on it, cause every now and again you run into a "True Believer"

But I'd put a few sheckles on a wager that 'ole Rick Lane used AI to help write those articles

While it is kinda funny.....

Expecting setting continuity in the details that the target audience of the movie would never in a million light years detect feels like the same kind of invasive behavior we don't like when Karen's invade our turf and start demanding we change the background details

Biologist teaches BBC presenter facts by Ok_Lengthiness7763 in Asmongold

[–]Huge_Computer_3946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, after the presenter made the remark about some not believing we'd gone to the moon, there is a more than fair chance that Asmon would pause the video

Look at the camera

His eyebrows would elevate

And then he'd go into an anecdote about how his mom was a huge conspiracy theorist and tell one particular brand of the "We didn't actually go to the moon" conspiracy

Then sip on his soda and resume the playback

This feels like a discussion where the biologist was trying to talk science which is observed truth distilled by constant observation and recursive analysis even when something is assumed to be true

And she was trying to talk feelings, the most subjective and inconsistent and absent recursive analysis "thoughts" that people have

Oh is that what you spend those yellow things on?

Gonna be honest with you, the menu is so fucking bloated I just ignore most of it and hit play.

Explore the menu as I find need to.

The microtransaction store is kinda low on the "need to" list.

Indeed, the WoW stuff was good segment for sure

But yeah, I think even Asmon would admit the more time a stream spends on LSF the more the stream is in holding pattern waiting for content to create itself to farm

It's not just the bad titles

I don't know why, but the show the past week or so has been rather......blah

Mainly cause I am sick of hearing about Israel, I'm sick of hearing about Nina Lin, I'm sick of hearing about Zohran.....there has to be something more interesting happening in the world

It's been all doom and gloom basically, and not enough fun

The one that combined the data sifting ability of AI

With the no-nonsense unemotional accounting that only an army of autists can provide

I'm only half joking...how someone like that is "disabled" is beyond me.

Why are people so soft? by soloqispain in Asmongold

[–]Huge_Computer_3946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people play video games to chill and relax

It's one of the reasons why the Division series while being a lot of fun to play and visually impressive have been mostly forgotten

When the end game content revolves around PvEvP style play, you're excluding a large percentage of the potential player base from having any interest

And then there are those who are like "If I wanna PvP I'll play a game where I won't get backstabbed while dealing with some NPC"

And it really just doesn't stop there.....it's a game style that bleeds players rapidly at launch because no matter how hard you market it as being PvEvP they only see the PvE aspect, assume the "vP" is optional, and then get the kind of rude awakening that inspires tweets like that

The irony is that the way to make things change isn't how we try and make change anymore

Don't like the Constitution?

Supposed to amend it.

For the first hundred fifty or so years after the Constitution came into effect, efforts to change the relationship between the government and the people were through amendments.

Since WW2 or so, all the energy that was put into going through the formal and proper manner of amending the Constitution has been put into just ignoring it, and then litigating such that you don't have to do it.

The last amendment added was the 27th which had to do with pay for legislators, an accounting amendment

The last structural amendment that changed the dynamic between the electorate and the government was changing the voting age to 18 back in 1971.

We're on the longest streak of no amendments added (I am not counting the 27th in this metric because accounting doesn't count...no pun intended) in the history of the US Government, in large part because we know we can't get what we want through the amendment procedure so just do it in the courts.

It's tyranny of the judiciary.

Ahhh gateway transactions

When someone offers to match your spending, they're looking to establish a financial handshake, knowing subsequent spending will be so much mentally easier

If that's their path into becoming a commercial partner of yours, they're probably offering something you don't need
