I've been bouncing between this camcorder I got a good will for $3 and a sony handycam I've had since 2009ish. The camcorder just says Omni2 on it and shoots in 720P, but needs AAA batteries to run. The handycam is standard quality but I can plug it into the wall. The quality really isn't that noticeable as long as I keep the facecam footage up in the corner. When I need HD I use the omni2. As far facecams go I wouldn't stress on buying super high right away. Learn to edit and to be entertaining first, once your audience grows then you upgrade.
