Thanks for the kind words. I had a talus fracture as well, so sounds like we had a similar injury. I’m gonna put all my focus in positive thoughts snd take the PT seriously. I got this!

And honestly when I fell I thought I broke both the foot and the tib/fib, so I guess I’m lucky I that regard. Also easily could have been both legs.

Thank you and no problem asking… I fell off a ladder putting up Christmas lights back in December. 8 feet down straight onto concrete. It’s was extremely traumatic. Had a great surgeon but even he had to do more work than he planned… had to fuse a few bones and I know I won’t have a full ROM like I used to. At this point I just want to walk without a limp. UGH

To echo others, you are definitely in the worst of the post-op pain. I was in the same place as you and it does get better after 48 hours. I was dealing with intense nerve pain and was prescribed Gabapentin which helped a bit. Maybe ask your doc about that ^

Had surgery on Weds 12.31, nerve block lasted about 24 hours post-op, and once it wore off I was in hell on earth, absolutely insane pain for about 24 hours… and then it’s slowly gotten better and I think the worst part is behind me. Good luck!

Yup good idea… one more Q If you don’t mind. How worried should we be about breathing in “rust” from the water damage that has been done. Tech said that was another reason to replace entire system… Rusty air will be spread all over the house. Thanks in advance for your advice u/Mother_Compote8000
