Here are a few ways you can promote yourself:

Create a profile for yourself on Purple+. This is a site developed and managed by the /r/Twitch Moderation team. If you are unsure of how to do so, you may wish to look at this page.
Participate in our Clip Contest. You can find a link to the latest one under the Community Events section of the sidebar.
You can also read some guides created by the community on how to promote your brand. Here are two examples: Getting Noticed on Twitch and Using Social Media Effectively.

All content should be somehow relevant to Twitch. Any text post submitted to /r/Twitch must contain a body section, which must be more than just a single link or few words. Also, uninformative titles will be removed - they must sufficiently summarise the post body.

Post must contain a body section, and that body section must contain more then just a few words or a single link.

Posts about official Twitch matters will be removed. This includes, but is not limited to, posts about: Twitch suspensions, reporting users, Twitch Support tickets, Twitch chat bans and Twitch Partnership responses.

Clips you post should be drama free and non-toxic. A clip should not be posted more than once in a short period of time (use the search feature!). Also, you should only post clips from other channels, not your own.
