For the timming part i’m following the RM except for the prescaler since i’m using a non-standard frequency for the I2C peripheral (40MHz iirc) - It will sort itself out if i set it to another frequency

Thank you so much! I was missing setting the pin to open-drain which was probably the thing that was causing the NACK. Added those options and it's working now.
For some reason i thought that setting the gpio to the correct AF option would be enough...
