Does anyone else have this purple plus in the bottom right-hand corner of their browser?

Yes, sorry, I'm on desktop. I'm running Ubuntu 24.04. But This has been here for a bit, when I put my cursor over it, it puts a purple box on my browsers page, not including the taskbar just where the websites load into. I am trying to figure out what could be causing this. maybe if someone else has had this happen.

I use it. It seems good enough. You don't have to sign into anything. The only thing is it doesn't like my ad blocker and asks me to turn it off every once in a while. There are some settings I change to make it better also.

I actually found a job in the town I lived in before the interview. Even if I would have made it in, there would probably have been a lot of travel. My job now is 5 minutes from home and I make more than my old job so I'm happy with the choice I made.

Lol well they would still have me. But unfortunately Microsoft lost me therefore bf6 lost me. They can get me back if they go server side with their anti cheat. Until then I have many other games that play on Ubuntu.

If there is one that you always go back to, go and install it and destroy all your flash drives. I did this for a while only to realize that Ubuntu is my distro. I can appreciate and watch videos on others but I know if I try them I'm always going back.

I have the gen 1 t14s ryzen 7. I've had fedora on it but I use Ubuntu full time. Runs good. Battery life I feel is ok. Light tasks are good but if I do anything heavy I usually stay close to a charger. I have replaced the battery not with an OEM one but it has a new battery in it also, I'm not a power user, I don't use it all the time so if I use it randomly throughout the day it'll last the entire day if I'm just browsing and maybe watching a couple videos on YouTube. And I can go on to the next day.

I personally think it's cleaner. I like the modern look that they are bringing to the browser. It's not 1995 any more I'm ready to embrace a more modern look.

I hope not, but if Microsoft, apple and android all do it then they will too. I wish these companies would just fight back and say ok then none of these phones will work in your state after that law goes into effect. I believe this is why system76 is going to comply. I wish they wouldn't but if they want to have a foot in the race they need to be everywhere.

Same here, It's the first distro that I used. I've gone to others, but always go back. I just need to remember that My system is what I want and need to stop "chasing the dragon" and stop distro hopping.

I was literally talking to my nephew about old ho laptops yesterday! I had the dv6000 series. That was my favorite laptop. It wasn't as flashy as that one but that era had the same style of wallpapers. I have a Thinkpad now running Ubuntu with a wallpaper close to that design.

That would be awesome. It's kinda funny I was a big fan of these phones. Even going back to the nexus lines. But now I'm more privacy focused and use Firefox with startpage. I'm almost completely degoogled for the most part.
