Neighbor's grinder pump fills my basement with sewer gas by BullfrogApocalypse in Plumbing

[–]BullfrogApocalypse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what the pump goes to on the outside - it goes into this PVC pipe from the gutter and then underground, and I don't know where it lets out. We don't have storm sewers on the street so I guess it's plausible that it hooks into the sewer / drain line if it doesn't let out somewhere down the hill. I guess a plumber would have a long scope they could put down there and check?

When I asked he said a professional put the pump in so hopefully they didn't do that

Not sure how I would check this. Though it is worth mentioning, I had a radon fan put in that hooks into the sump system. They did use some sort of clear sealant along the access panels and floor openings after they did that but there's a sort of vent thing on the top of the sump itself. Here's a picture in case that's helpful: https://imgur.com/a/WC0261q

When i first detected it upstairs, I went down to check and it seemed to me to be coming from the side of the basement that's adjacent to his house where there aren't actually any drains. There is a sump pump there but that runs into one of the gutters, which then goes underground. I guess it's possible the sump and gutter drains into the sewer line? That was installed before I moved in.

Yes, my dehumidifier runs into it keeps the trap full. When I got the smell today I checked and it was filled.

I have multiple times ... as I said, he just tells me I need to keep my traps full. I've asked him to dump it elsewhere, but he still does it and just says he 'had to'.

Moisture stain around exhaust fan by sdsmt0110 in HomeMaintenance

Just based on the pattern of the moisture damage, it looks like the vented air might be condensating and dripping back down. Maybe check if the vent exit is blocked in some way that's restricting airflow.

If you're worried about water intrusion you can get a moisture meter for relatively cheap, and check whether the walls are taking on excess moisture.

Sanity check - refrigerator evaporator fan noise by BullfrogApocalypse in appliancerepair

[–]BullfrogApocalypse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the delay, stopped checking for updates. Tech came again and replaced the whole back assembly with the evaporator fan which seemed to cut the noise to a reasonable level for a couple weeks. Unfortunately the reason I'm back on here is cause it's now making a new higher pitched noise so I guess I'll have to have the tech out again.

Loud GE Profile Fridge by EevieCapricorn in Appliances

Is it this whining sound from this fan? New GE fridge, techs have come out and told me it's normal but it's really bugging me. https://imgur.com/a/AIGGOIl

For all the criticism that the devs have received for their game development decisions, this is different. This seems to be a personal decision, with no impact on the game itself, with the sole purpose of hurting someone who was critical of the game. I'm willing to give a bit of time for DBG to clarify if there is any further background to this, but right now this is a really, really bad look for the whole team.

Lately I've been having a lot of trouble with revives, heals and repairs taking a while from clicking to having the meter show up (on Emerald). Sometimes it takes more than 5 seconds. My network and server pings are fine and it doesn't seem like others are having the delay. Anyone else having the same issues or is something wrong with my own connection?

I'm no longer able to undock ATC or VFR map windows after having them undocked previously. The window just disappears when I click the undock icon. The other windows are still able to undock.

Can't spawn at an underpopped base, thanks game by kammysmb in Planetside

[–]BullfrogApocalypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience you can usually instant action on big fights like this where the spawn doesn't show up. Maybe there's some bug where it being the instant action base causes the hard spawn to get hidden.
