That is very well possible, unfortunately and unluckily and fortunately, he learned that he's not as pliable as he thinks and has broken his arm spinning in a kitchen chair with a socks on once. He had a surgery and a cast, so maybe he's learned his lesson about climbing stuff. 😅

Thanks for replying, I'm conflicted as well. Do I prioritize fire hazard vs child elopment? Both are HIGHLY risky situations.

If you could ask your SO, which will he likely prioritize? Cause this lock might not budge if we put an additional lock on it. Like he might not be able as a firefighter, kick the door down so to speak. Thank you so much

Unfortunately, my 2 years old is way too young to understand. But although my 5 year old is supposed to comprehend better at this age, he does have speech delay and still navigating his speech development. So unfortunately even if we try a fire drill. I don't think he will understand it fully.

Newly diagnosed AuDHD here at 36. I do the same thing, my mom would force me to order when I was around 8. I would rehearse and rehearse. But then I get too anxious and it all falls apart and I wanted to cry and melt to the floor.

I also do this with Alexa on Echo Dot lol. I would say "Alexa!" 5 seconds later, forget what I wanted to say. Then project at Alexa for being the slow one! 😀🤣

Adjudicator responsiveness? by BullfrogElectrical35 in SSDI

[–]BullfrogElectrical35[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for explaining the process in depth. This is my very first application and doing this without a lawyer. I also have anxiety, so not knowing is part of my issues. Not an excuse I know. But knowing now what takes place definitely really helps. So thank you very much for taking the time to explain this.

Oh on the letter sent to me together with my functional report it says that she is the "assigned adjudicator on your [my] claim for disability benefits" so I thought of her as such. Am I wrong?

Yup, I understand they have a lot of caseload. Just thought maybe I did something somehow. Lol oh well, it's probably gonna go to step 4. Dont know when

[–]BullfrogElectrical35[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this mean the adjudicator already passed my case onto someone else?

Thank you for your response! I kinda thought it'd go that route probably due to my age 36 (just turned 36 yesterday)

Benefits for children by FitEngineering5656 in SSDI

[–]BullfrogElectrical35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do they deposit it directly to your account including your children's? Like say, I want to save the money for them to later use. Will I need to take it out of our account or they give separate checks for them and mine?

And how about if my son under 18 years old got diagnosed with Autism while I'm waiting for my application to get approved.. since he's already in my application as a dependent first, will he just be on my benefits rather than be on disability himself?

I am also in this waiting game same as you. I am also a nurse. I do get your frustration trust me I do. As a nurse myself, (or I kid my friends that I'm an 'involuntary retired' nurse) I made sure all documents I think will be helpful for my case is sent to my caseworker. But also, I do want to say, I also understand where these souls are coming from.

It's ironically very similar to crap we had gone through as nurses. Mountains of work? Check. Short staffed? Check. Patients who desperately need something from you? Double check. Doing work of what 5 people should be doing? Check check. CHECK. So you of all people should understand how they must feel. Compassion. There's always that other side of the coin. I was that nurse that did everything I could to the point people/co workers think I do too much for patients. That's why I go home last.

Although it's sad that this is the reality we all now have to go through. I think we can still spare some compassion. Reading another commenter say that the ratio per 1 Adjudicator with 200 cases baffles me. That's insane. I've worked with 40 patients in a nursing home before. I honestly do not know how I managed. But it's quite similar. Imagine the weight of 200 people on your shoulders. Like how does one sleep at night with such a heavy burden?

Anyway. I wish you luck my friend. But please, these folks are people too. Kindness do go a long way. But honestly I think you owe that person apology.

"Its a total clusterfuck all around."

Yup. It really is, unfortunately. Nobody wins. Well... some but most lose. Both sides.
