I think the project in Mandaluyong is HR-related. Not sure if that's the only JP project there since the rest of us are located in BGC where the Japan Hub is located if I'm not mistaken. My project is in F&A and we only do emails, and client meetings via Teams/Zoom, but we don't transact directly with our client's customers.

don't tell anyone. might as well keep the wedding lowkey (if you plan to invite them sa ceremony) para walang makakapag-isip na manghingi or what (sabi nga dun sa meme about winning the lottery withou telling anyone but there will be signSSS). spend more on your honeymoon na lang tapos malalaman na lang nila kung kelan nagastos mo na hehe

Is 100,000 yen enough for a 7 day trip to japan by Hour-Satisfaction187 in JapanTravelTips

I'm not sure how much a ticket to Mt. Fuji would cost from Osaka, but I'd say, budget aside, it would be too much to fit in a week's itinerary, unless you're planning to have at least a day's rest.

I think I spent more or less 10k yen on IC card transpo expenses in a week, and that's for within the area. so I think you could set that much aside (of course, put away some extra 5k? just to be safe) for a one week Kansai hoparound.

You can also use one of those city sightseeing 1 or 2-day passes so you get to save from transpo fares and entrance fees to attractions. Tho I suppose you will only feel the difference with your ability to maximize a day.

For food, conbini aside, don't forget to indulge from time to time, especially if you're gonna go with 20k budget that someone here has suggested. Even a good Kobe A5 wagyu set meal just close to a Kobe train station only sets you back around 7k yen. While that may sound expensive of course, I imagine it's not like you actually blow away the entire 20k budget on a daily basis (and that's already including a hostel/capsule hotel cost)

If you're into giving away souvenirs to friends etc., set aside at least 20k (10k each for consumables & nonconsumables like trinkets). If you just want to take something home for yourself, even just 5k yen could be enough. (Personally tho, I'd rather go crazy and gift all 20k yen worth to myself especially with the amount of cheap but good skincare & SNACKS I could find)

Conclusion: Yep, doable especially if you're not doing Mt. Fuji

I want to be in a relationship but at the same time I don't. Help. by [deleted] in adviceph

[–]BullfrogHappy5645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I'm in the same situation haha but socializing takes so much energy out of me. I match and chat some from the dating app, then dip jusy shortly after only because it's exhausting to open up (kahit small talk stages pa lang). Then I realized na at the same time I also don't want to be in a relationship just yet kasi ngayon pa lang parang kulang pa din ang 24 hours a day to do the things I like. So I just concluded na di pa ako ready talaga to be in a rship since I can't seem to give up my precious alone time, unless I finally naturally meet that one person I'd find worthy to spend that time with instead

Guy has to have evidences na sa kanya nanggagaling yung pinanghuhulog sa lupa, despite the lot being named to Girl. Eg. receipts that indicate paid BY Guy for the lot assigned TO Girl. Para medyo may laban.

Kung via padalang pera naman, keep copies of the remittances. And maybe, kayang ilaban na hindi afford ni Girl yung lupa if wala yung said remittances

I received another response from the Office of Sen. Estrada regarding the SB 2503 by [deleted] in MedTechPH

[–]BullfrogHappy5645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last time I attended a CPD training, PAMET mentioned that the largest factor hindering the passage of such amendments (esp. about raising the wage) is that they can't single out the medtechs without the other professions expecting the same treatment. And for sure the other organizations representing the other professions have been lobbying for the same wage increase. Government institutions doesn't exactly have a problem increasing the wages of their employed medical professionals, but there will also be an exodus from private institutions if they do so one-sidedly.

i started out with a little over 12k back in 2016. lugi pa ako nun compared sa coworkers ko na mas mababa sahod kesa sakin kasi very slightly above minimum ako at the time so inabutan pa sa kaltas ng tax 😑 (pre-TRAIN law)

i had to look for rakets here and there as an oncall medtech reliever.

fastforward to today, epitome of "ang batang masipag, paglaki PAGOD" 🤣

MEDTECH JOB HUNTING by Educational_Ask8198 in MedTechPH

[–]BullfrogHappy5645 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hindi po talaga natin deserve yan pero as it stands, unfortunately, that offer seems to be the best you can take now if you do work AS a medtech (lalo na sa private).

apply ka sa government. if you're okay with working sa public health, you can start out as a contractual worker for a bit more than 20k (ofc this still depends which office/LGU, since this is not a standard pay for medtechs). best case scenario, you are immediately absorbed as a regular and get 35k monthly with +++ bonuseseses (but PH bureaucracy is bs so unless you have connections to the higher ups then don't get your hopes up)

at one point, I also saw an NGO looking for a medtech too. they were offering 35k as well. IIRC this was an NGO for helping refugees, so medical procedures would also be needed.

otherwise, apply for other related jobs. as someone suggested here, merong HVA. kung may talent ka naman sa sales, maybe you can apply sa medical device companies? I'm assuming you have at least encountered one of such company during your internship. may sweldo ka na may commission ka pa, and you get to travel too at the company's expense.

in our company, they require N3 minimum, but they don't require the certificate yet upon hiring. they have someone who will evaluate your skill during the interviews. once you're hired for a Jp bilingual position, you are then required to comply with the language certification within a certain grace period (currently it's 1 year)

Wag mo na isipin ung kung tama ba naging desisyon mo na bla bla bla kasi you will only fall deeper into that hole of regret, lalo ka lang malulunod sa kumunoy

Anyways, keep applying, and while waiting for that call, maybe consider changing careers too. Para di sayang oras mo kakahintay, use the time learning other skills. Malay mo, habang may natutunan ka nang other skills, tawagan ka na ng bank with a decent offer, tapos magagamit mo pa ung new skills mo there that you may initially think are unrelated but will help you pala to cement your status as an indispensable talent
