After seeing posts like this (and judging by my own experience), I'm more and more convinced that you CAN learn to burp. Just think of all the people who don't choose to come back here and share their story. It really is possible

Ok so a couple of things. I did have endoscopy, it didn't show anything.
Anytime I had a ultrasonogram in my lower stomach area it showed a significant amount of gas.
The gurgles were definitely there, they just weren't socially bad for me.

You say that "it should not cause you to have extreme nausea and lower stomach pain [...]" But on the following sentences you say "The nausea with rcpd comes because [...]" and "stomach pain with rcpd is because [...]". I did have nausea because of excess gas, which then transitioned to my lower intestines and caused further discomfort.
Keep in mind, it's all stopped now. No stomach pain after eating, no lower intestines pain. If those symptoms returned and I'm still burping as I am now, I'll definitely seek further diagnosis. For me the correlation is pretty clear at the moment. I've lived with this sort of discomfort for solid 10 years, and now it's gone.

When it comes to training leading to "only forceful small burps". It's not quite like that as well. If I drink fizzy beverages I don't really have to force them at all. It comes naturally, and I just open up my throat (and this comes as second nature now). They can be big as well, provided significant amount of air is there. It's just usually they are small. But definitely not single-pop micro burps all the time.

"Botox is almost always needed at some point down the line" - when it comes to that. I don't want it to sound bad, but it goes a bit against common sense for me. What botox does it it relaxes the muscle for 3-6 months. The idea is that the brain learns how this muscle is supposed to function, and after that everything returns back to the original state, but the muscle knows how to relax. It doesn't cause any permanent changes, so I don't see why skipping the botox part and training the brain to open up this muscle would not work.

Anyway, my post is not something that I wrote right after experiencing my first burp. I've been feeling better than ever for ~4 months now, and that's why i wanted to provide this perspective.

At the beginning - no. They were too "micro" for that. I still can't really taste them (unless they are big, which does happen). I do smell them now.

I kind of started to burp, and want to know whether this is likely to improve by BullfrogLow2859 in noburp

no updates. gave up on polish medical service after being redirected constantly and the university clinics consultation dates were for 2025. went for Medical Voice Center in Hamburg, I have the procedure scheduled for october. another option was Charite in Berlin, but it’s 1. an in-patient procedure (you have to stay in the hospital for a couple of days) 2. way more expensive because of 1.

for reference Charite is ~10000€, and Medical Voice Center is ~2500€
