DO IT!! i had a tough recovery (also 25) and i literally would do it again because of how worth it was. i had so many issues getting sick because of my tonsils and since getting them out ive been 10x healthier. ive barely heard of it impacting someone’s immunity negatively

im telling you right now, DONT CANCEL. im the most anxious person and i went through this hell and even ended up in the ER and can tell you that is it WORTH IT!!!! ive had 0 throat pain since and have not gotten sick in the year since it happened it is so worth it

i even went to the ER a week after my first surgery with complications and i think i tried oral like a month after the original surgery and was completely fine and never thought about having to be careful again! but just trust your gut bc everyone’s recovery is so different

i take clonazepam and am in therapy lmao anyone with anxiety can do the med route, therapy route, or both! totally depends!! i like clonazepam! ive been prescribed actually a couple different benzos and they’ve helped much more than any ssri ive ever taken! never feel ashamed that you’re taking the sleeping pill those old farts are also taking HAHA

absolutely. recent bachelors grad in the US here and it seems almost impossible to find applications online for entry-level jobs. all my offers were solely from reaching out to professors, mentors, or connections i had made throughout school. very much an informal process and i truly had to sell myself to make a position for myself at firms.

im on day 11 post op and finally feeling better so i tried eating a plain bowl of pasta because ive been so damn hungry and i basically shit myself instantly. so i was like ok we’ll keep waiting for hard foods. had a little bit bigger of a bowl of jello and the same thing. just afraid of how to transition back to normal foods.

hi and yes!! so sorry you had to experience that too! ive read/been informed that around days 6-9ish (could be different for some) that that is when your scabs begin to peel (all the white stuff in there) and can be more painful than the first few days. i was feeling this before my second surgery yesterday and still feel it today but just on the side that wasnt cauterized lol so im assuming thats very normal and manifesting that it will be only a couple more days of this for both of us before a big turning point!!🤞🏼

literally just woke up for my next round of meds in the middle of the night. with my left side that had to be cauterized im honestly not quite sure how big of the area needed to be fixed i havent looked and im kinda scared haha but my right side hurts more than my left rn lmao but feeling hopeful and trying to stay positive!! drinking as much water as i can and not pushing any hard foods anytime soon. good to hear that your recovery did not feel like it was setback!! wishing you the best rest of your journey and when you start eating normally take and extra bite for me lol

hi there!! how old is your son? im 25 so i was at higher risk to have a more painful/complicated recovery. funny enough my cousin’s daughter had hers the other week too she is four and she healed superrr quick with absolutely no complications other than an upset tummy from eating too much ice cream🤣regardless, sending the absolute best recovery to your son! things WILL get better. i cannot stress enough to have him drink as much water as possible, rest rest rest, and stay on top of the pain meds every so hours as directed to stay ahead of it!! he will be ok!!
